Three training programs of Nguyen Tat Thanh University accredited in accordance with the Ministry of Education and Training standards

Up until now, three training programs of Nguyen Tat Thanh University including the Bachelor of Hospitality Management, Electrical – Electronic Engineering Technology, and Pharmacy programs have met the accreditation standards under the Circular No. 04 of the Ministry of Education and Training.

In 2019, VNU-HCM Center for Education Accreditation signed Decision recognizing that Nguyen Tat Thanh University’s two training programs of Bachelors of Hospitality Management, Electrical – Electronic Engineering Technology met the accreditation standards under the Circular No. 04 of the Ministry of Education and Training with the percentage of satisfactory criteria to be 96% and 88% respectively.

Bachelor of Hospitality Management and Electrical – Electronic Engineering Technology are the first two training programs of Nguyen Tat Thanh University to participate in the quality accreditation of undergraduate training programs in accordance with Circular 04. After the rigid and fair process in reviewing records and proofs, conducting interviews with faculty leaders, program heads, Faculty’s Scientific Council, teaching staff, students, alumni, employers, support team including departments, faculties and centers in the University; and the survey of facilities, the above two programs are eligible to meet the training quality accreditation standards prescribed by the Ministry of Education and Training.

In addition, in 2020, VNU-HCM Center for Education Accreditation recognized the training program in Bachelor of Pharmacy of Nguyen Tat Thanh University met the accreditation standards under the Circular No. 04/2016/TT-BGDĐT, issued on 15/04/2020. According to the conclusions of the assessment delegation, 11 standards with 50 criteria have been totally complied with the accreditation standards of the Circular No. 04. Specifically, the percentage of satisfactory criteria is 92%. With this achievement, Nguyen Tat Thanh University is the first non-public higher education institute in Ho Chi Minh City to meet the accreditation standards for Pharmacy program (for Degree of Pharmacist) under the Circular 04/2016/TT-BGDĐT. This is a remarkable result for the efforts of Nguyen Tat Thanh University in general and of the training areas of the University in particular in deliberately implementing the quality accreditation of training programs in accordance with Circular No. 04 of the Ministry of Education and Training.

Along with affirming the quality of training programs in compliance with local and regional standards, Nguyen Tat Thanh University also focuses on the quality accreditation of the University. In 2019, Nguyen Tat Thanh University is the first non-public higher education institution in Vietnam to be granted the 4-star certificate by the QS (the United Kingdom). Moreover, Nguyen Tat Thanh University held the 5th position nationally in terms of internationally published scientific research ranked by Institute for Scientific Information Journal (ISI) for the first 7 months of 2019, a 4-star standard university by Vietnam and the region’s universities quality ranking system – UPM in 2020, top 20 universities in terms of scientific research indicators in the university rankings of Vietnam UPM and the only non-public university in the South region to enroll in the URAP world rankings.

In the coming years, Nguyen Tat Thanh University will target to achieve more training programs followed by domestic and international standards. The success of Pharmacy program and other training fields will be the motivation for other faculties to learn, experience, and prepare the best way to conduct other external assessments in the future.
