NTTU – Recently, a delegation from NTTU attended the NEAS 2026 International Conference, held on 6–7 May 2026 at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG), Melbourne, Australia, represented by two of our Vice Presidents: Assoc. About the NEAS 2026 Conference
NEAS Australia (National ELT Accreditation Scheme) is a world-leading quality accreditation organization specializing in English language teaching, trusted by hundreds of international educational institutions over more than 30 years of operation. NEAS’s annual conference is a forum that brings together education leaders, researchers, and government representatives from around the world to discuss trends and quality standards in the field of English language teaching.
The NEAS 2026 Conference carries the theme “Believe” — Believe in Purpose, Believe in Connection, Believe in Possibility — conveying a message about faith in the transformative power of education: believing in purpose, believing in connection, believing in possibility. Notably, this year’s conference emphasizes the role of English language teaching as a bridge that fosters inclusion — a message closely aligned with NTTU’s development orientation in the new era.

NTTU – The Only Vietnamese University Invited to Attend
Notably, at this year’s conference, Nguyen Tat Thanh University was the only university from Vietnam invited to participate. What makes this even more noteworthy is that the invitation came directly from Mr. Adam Kilburn – CEO of NEAS Australia — with the expectation that the NTTU leadership delegation would contribute perspectives and experiences from Vietnam, thereby enriching the conference’s discussions.
At the conference, both NTTU delegates had the opportunity to attend in-depth presentations and network with international educators from Australia and Southeast Asia.
Speaking on the sidelines of the conference, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Lan Phuong noted that the invitation to attend NEAS 2026 represents an opportunity for NTTU to explore advanced educational models and expand its international academic network.
“In a higher education landscape being rapidly transformed by digital transition and global integration, English is no longer merely a subject — it has become an essential competency that empowers students to thrive in international academic and professional environments. Participating in NEAS gives us the opportunity to learn about emerging trends in foreign language education quality assurance and to develop our students’ global integration capabilities,” she said.
Internationalization today goes beyond cooperation activities or academic exchanges — it is directly tied to enhancing the quality of education, professional skills, and global adaptability for learners.

A Proud Milestone for NTTU
NTTU’s presence — as the only Vietnamese university — is a clear testament to the University’s steadfast commitment to elevating the quality of English language education to international standards. This is not only an honor but also a responsibility: NTTU continues to pioneer the journey of bringing Vietnam’s foreign language teaching quality to an internationally comparable level.
As Vietnam accelerates its national strategy to establish English as a second language across higher education, NTTU is proud to lead the way — setting the standard at home and making its mark on the world stage.
