Nguyen Tat Thanh University students received the “iAN Scholarship – Nurturing the Future” for the academic year 2023-2024

NTTU – On the evening of December 3rd, 2023, at the Hoa Binh Theater, Nguyen Tat Thanh University was honored to have 10 outstanding students selected to receive the “iAN Scholarship – Nurturing the Future” for the academic year 2023-2024.

It is known that for many years, with the voluntary mission of connecting, the International Alumni Network (iAN) has been implementing creative activities for the community’s benefit, actively contributing to the country’s progress and development.


Following the second position from the left are Mr. Mai Bá Hùng – Former Deputy Director of Ho Chi Minh City Department of Culture and Sports, Member of the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Olympic Committee; Dr. Tran Ai Cam – President of NTTU; Dr. Nguyen Thanh Phuong – Head of the Enterprise Relations and Student Employment Department – Vice President of NTTU’s Enterprise Club; Mr. Hua Phu Doan – President of NTTU’s Enterprise Club.

Continuing these noble values, one of the main activities of the iAN community – the “iAN Scholarship” – had reviewed and selected students who are conscious of their studies, carry within them noble values with a desire to contribute to society, and are eligible to receive the iAN Scholarship. The iAN Scholarship Award Ceremony was solemnly held during the final night of the International Hiphop Festival – HIPFEST2023 World Final on December 3rd, 2023.

At the event, representatives from the Leadership Board of Nguyen Tat Thanh University participated, including Dr. Tran Ai Cam – President of the University; Dr. Nguyen Thanh Phuong – Head of the Business Relations and Student Employment Department – Vice President of NTTU’s Business Club; Mr. Hua Phu Doan – President of NTTU’s Business Club; Mr. Hoang Quoc Tai – Vice President of NTTU’s Business Club – Vice President of iAN. Additionally, there was significant participation from leaders and representatives of organizations such as the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Culture and Sports, the Vietnam Friendship Organizations Union, the Ho Chi Minh City Alumni Association (Vietnam Youth Federation Ho Chi Minh City Chapter), the International Alumni Network (iAN), the Southern Vietnam Olympic Committee, and representatives from various media agencies.

Dr. Nguyen Viet Hung – President of the Vietnam International Alumni Network (iAN) – delivered a speech at the event.

During the ceremony, the iAN leadership presented valuable scholarships to students who have overcome difficult circumstances and achieved outstanding academic performance from various universities. Among them, 10 students from Nguyen Tat Thanh University received these scholarships, which are considered a source of support, encouragement, and motivation for their studies and lives.

Dr. Nguyen Viet Hung – President of the Vietnam International Alumni Network (iAN) – expressed: “With the mission of connecting generations and nurturing the future, the aspirations of iAN members and the community of organizations and individuals as a whole, we hope to nurture the younger generation’s access to comprehensive education, develop their skills and virtues, and contribute to building a more prosperous and beautiful Vietnam.”

Outstanding students of NTTU selected to receive the iAN Scholarship – Nurturing the Future

For the 10 outstanding students of NTTU selected to receive the iAN Scholarship, each has a different background. Some come from economically disadvantaged families, some have disabilities, and notably, there are those who have lost both parents. Despite facing various hardships, these students have shown resilience in pursuing their shared dream of acquiring knowledge.

5 outstanding students of NTTU received motorcycles from iAN at iAN Legend – Igniting Hope

As part of the iAN Legend – Igniting Hope event, the sponsor iAN presented 5 motorcycles to exceptional students who have overcome difficulties and excelled in their studies but lacked transportation. These students used to rely on public buses or assistance from friends to commute to school. The total value of the motorcycles amounted to 100 million VND. Additionally, iAN also awarded 5 scholarships worth a total of 50 million VND (10 million VND per student) to 5 students from poor or near-poor households who have shown remarkable progress and academic excellence.

With the sentiments of care, love, trust, hope, and the opportunities for positive life changes that iAN community has bestowed, it is undoubtedly a tremendous gift. It will ignite the aspirations of NTTU students, inspiring them to strive harder, become more confident, improve themselves, and achieve greater success, thus shining brightly in the future.
