STEAM Day with the theme ‘Science – Creativity and Passion

On January 19, at the Anh Viet My Preschool and Elementary School, the Interdisciplinary Institute of Social Sciences organized a STEAM day for preschool and elementary school children with the theme “Science – Creativity and Passion.”

The event was attended by: Dr. Nguyen Lan Phuong – Vice President; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Thi Hong – Vice President, Head of the Interdisciplinary Institute of Social Sciences; Mrs. Dang Thi Thanh Huyen – Principal of Anh Viet My Elementary School; Mrs. Tran Thi Kim Phuong – Principal of Anh Viet My Preschool; Dr. Bui Thi Viet – Head of the Department of Education Science, along with representatives of teachers from the Interdisciplinary Institute of Social Sciences, teachers, and hundreds of students from Anh Viet My Preschool and Elementary School.

At the event, students prepared STEM products they had made at home or at school with the support of teachers and students, and showcased and introduced the products they had made.

Elementary students participated in activities during the STEAM day.

As part of the event, the organizers awarded certificates to 9 teachers who had completed training on applying the STEAM education method in teaching at preschools.

The STEAM day was organized to raise awareness of STEM/STEAM education for preschool and elementary school children, aiming to awaken a passion for scientific research and encourage the application of knowledge and skills from various subjects to solve practical problems. It also aims to change the teaching format and create opportunities for students to showcase their application of knowledge and skills in real-life situations. Through STEM/STEAM experiential activities, students will have the opportunity to further understand the significance of scientific research and become more confident and effective communicators.
