Training to improve entrepreneurship and innovation capacity for students

NTTU – On February 14, 2022, Nguyen Tat Thanh University’s Innovation and Incubation Center (NIIC) coordinated with units in the University to jointly organize the 2nd intake training course to improve entrepreneurship and innovation capacity for students.

On February 14, 2022, the Innovation and Incubation Center (NIIC) collaborated with the Faculty of Business Administration, Student Affairs Department; Student Union of Nguyen Tat Thanh University, together with entrepreneurs, speakers in the innovation startup ecosystem and the University’s Startup Mentor Network organized the 2nd intake training course to improve innovation and startup capacity for students. The program’s theme is about: “Starting a Business in 2022 with an Innovative Business Model – Starting a Business in 2022 with Project Presentation and effective fundraising through Zoom platform and livestream on the fanpage of the Innovation and Incubation Center.

Attending the program, on the side of Nguyen Tat Thanh University, there were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bach Long Giang – Director of Innovation and Incubation Center cum Head of Science and Technology Department; Huynh Hong Mai, MSc. – Deputy Director of the Innovation and Incubation Center; Bui Van Thoi, MSc – Vice Dean of Faculty of Business Administration; Truong Thi Cam Len, MSc. – Chairman of Startup Club. Guests of Honours included Tran Anh Tuan, MSc. – Director of Pathfinder Brand and Strategy Consulting Company; Ms. Vo Thi Kim Ngan – CEO of Tan Hoang Vu Group – alumnus of the Faculty of Business Administration; Ms. Duong Tuong Nhi – CEO of Happy Lifestyle Company – Founder of Meta Lifestyle project. In particular, the program has also attracted more than 30 entrepreneurs in the Startup Mentoring Network; a large number of lecturers, more than 200 students of Nguyen Tat Thanh University.

Discussing about Starting a business in 2022 with an innovative business model, Bui Van Thoi, MSc. provided students with background knowledge about business models and steps to build a business model. Ms. Vo Thi Kim Ngan – CEO of Tan Hoang Vu Group directly shared about the business model as well as experiences and advice for young entrepreneurs.

Regarding Starting a business in 2022 with effective project presentations and fundraising, Tran Anh Tuan, MSc. shared about the contents and methods to present the project well, thereby capturing the judges’ psychology in competitions and further, investors in the fundraising process. Also in the sharing session, Ms. Duong Tuong Nhi – CEO of Happy Lifestyle Company – Founder of Meta Lifestyle project, also gave a presentation on Meta Lifestyle project to help students easily grasp the project presentation method as well as raising capital with good efficiency.

The 2nd intake training course to improve entrepreneurship and innovation capacity is a program within the framework of a series of training activities to improve entrepreneurship and innovation capacity for lecturers, staff, and students of Nguyen Tat Thanh University in 2022. This is the 4th training course held since the beginning of 2022. The purpose of the program is to equip trainees with the necessary knowledge and skills, to build and develop their spirit of creative entrepreneurship, scientific research, community service.

Speaking at the training session, Huynh Hong Mai, MA. – Deputy Director of the Innovation and Incubation Center, emphasized the importance of innovative business models and business model transformation in innovative startups. Besides, presentation and fundraising skills to win investors are also an important factor when helping young entrepreneurs win presentations and raise capital for businesses.
