The Scientific and Educational Council of Nguyen Tat Thanh University finalizes the personnel arrangement for the 2020-2025 term.

NTTU – On January 2nd, 2024, the Scientific and Educational Council of Nguyen Tat Thanh University (NTTU) held a meeting to finalize the personnel for the 2020-2025 term. The working program was chaired by Prof. Dr. NGƯT. Nguyễn Văn Thanh – President of the Council, with the participation of other council members.

Based on Decision No. 906/QĐ-NTT dated December 16, 2020, which issued regulations on the organization and operation of the Scientific and Educational Council of Nguyen Tat Thanh University; based on Decision No. 170/QĐ-NTT dated March 3, 2021, regarding the establishment of the Scientific and Educational Council for the 2020-2025 term;

Based on Decision No. 53/QĐ-NTT dated January 8, 2022, updating the list of members of the Scientific and Educational Council for the 2020-2025 term (second update);

Considering the changes in the key leadership personnel of some units; the Scientific and Educational Council of Nguyen Tat Thanh University has approved the addition of 06 members to the Council due to the restructuring of units through division/merger.

With a 100% attendance rate, the Council unanimously (1) voted to dismiss 06 members who have taken on multiple professional tasks, and (2) voted to add 06 new members.

Due to their involvement in multiple professional tasks, some personnel are unable to continue their tenure with the Scientific and Educational Council of Nguyen Tat Thanh University for the 2020-2025 term.

The newly added members of the council include: Associate Professor Dr. Vo Thi Thu Thuy – Chairperson of the Scientific and Educational Council of the Faculty of Architecture – Interior Design – Applied Fine Arts; Dr. Dang Thi Thu Huyen – Head of the Law Department; Dr. Ho Van Han – Deputy Head of the Foreign Languages Department; Dr. Vo Nguyen Dai Viet – Deputy Director of the Institute of Applied Technology and Sustainable Development in charge of training; Dr. Phan Thi Ngan – Deputy Head of the Tourism Department; Associate Professor Dr. Vu Quang Hao – Head of the Creative Communication Department. These individuals were introduced to the council, where they presented their personal information and scientific background for the council’s consideration.

The Scientific and Educational Council of Nguyen Tat Thanh University added 06 new members.

Within the framework of the program, the Scientific and Educational Council also added a Secretary Board, which includes the following members: Associate Professor Dr. Bach Long Giang – Head of the Department of Science and Technology – Head of the Secretary Board; Dr. Nguyen Huu Thuan Anh – Deputy Head of the Department of Science and Technology, Member; MSc. Tran Hong Quynh – Deputy Head of the Quality Assurance Department, Member; MSc. Hoang Huu Tien – Head of the University’s Office, Member; MSc. Tran Thi Ngoc Diem – Deputy Head of the Academic Affairs and Student Services Department, Member; MSc. Nguyen Duy Minh – Deputy Head of the Planning and Finance Department, Member.

The Secretary Board has been recently added to the Scientific and Educational Council of Nguyen Tat Thanh University.

During the meeting, regarding educational activities, the Scientific and Educational Council of Nguyen Tat Thanh University approved plans to open new majors in 2024.

The Scientific and Educational Council of Nguyen Tat Thanh University is responsible for advising the university president on matters related to educational activities, science, and technology to serve the university’s missions and authorities, including: (1) Innovating and developing educational programs; evaluating educational programs; considering credit conversion recognition; methods of assessing and evaluating students’ learning outcomes and skills development; solutions to enhance the quality of education and ensure the quality of graduates; (2) Orienting the development of scientific research and technology, international cooperation; science and technology strategy and international cooperation; annual plans for scientific activities and international cooperation; (3) Cooperation plans with training institutions, research institutions, production and business establishments, organizations, and individuals domestically and internationally to implement activities related to education, science, technology, and entrepreneurship; (4) Proposing the list of members of the professorial council; appointing professorial and associate professorial titles within the university; awarding honorary professor titles, honorary doctorates of the university to individuals; evaluating lecturers; (5) Selecting organizations to accredit the quality of the university; evaluating the quality of the university’s electronic information, scientific and technological journals, and evaluating the organization and management of training, scientific and technological activities of units within the university; (6) Implementing other advisory tasks as directed by the President.

Having developed and grown for 25 years as a multidisciplinary and multi-level university, Nguyen Tat Thanh University has solidified its position on the map of Vietnamese and international education. However, to meet the increasingly demanding requirements of society, the university must continuously improve the quality of education, promote scientific research, and serve the community. Recognizing this, Nguyen Tat Thanh University will continue to make efforts and organize specialized activities in scientific research to help faculty and researchers enhance their capabilities and share research experiences.
