Party Committee of Nguyen Tat Thanh University holds a conference on studying and practicing President Ho Chi Minh’s ideology, morality and lifestyle

On June 17, 2022, the Executive Committee of the Party Committee of Nguyen Tat Thanh University held a conference to review the 1-year implementation of the Politburo of the Communist Party of Vietnam’s Conclusion No. 01-KL/TW on continuing to implement the Directive. No. 05-CT/TW of the Politburo on studying and practicing Ho Chi Minh’s ideology, morality and lifestyle in the period of May 19, 2021 – May 19, 2022. The conference was held for the purpose of evaluating the results of studying and practicing Uncle Ho’s ideology, morality and lifestyle, at the same time praising and rewarding individuals with best practices during the implementation of Directive No. 05 of the Politburo.

Mr. Nguyen Thanh Tho – Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the Ministry of Industry and Trade in Ho Chi Minh City; Mr. Cao Van Duc – Member of the Standing Committee – Head of the Central Propaganda and Training Commission, Party Committee of the Ministry of Industry and Trade in Ho Chi Minh City; Mrs. Nguyen Mai Lan – Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairwoman of the Board of Directors, General Director of Saigon Textile and Garment Joint Stock Company, Chairwoman of Nguyen Tat Thanh University Board and all delegates, comrades and other party members.

At the conference, Mrs. Nguyen Mai Lan shared: “In the past 2 years, despite the significant impacts of the Covid-19 epidemic, with the enthusiasm and responsibility of all party members, lecturers, staff, and students, Nguyen Tat Thanh University has always encouraged solidarity, mutual help in learning and volunteering, following the implementation of the Directive No. 05 by the Politburo. Throughout the years, the University has organized many meaningful activities such as a campaign motivating youth union members and students to study and practice President Ho Chi Minh’s ideology, morality and lifestyle, organized by the Ministry of Education and Training; a movement to praise, appreciate young lecturers, staff and students of 5 merits…” At the same time, Mrs. Nguyen Mai Lan also commended lecturers and staff who had excellent achievements in studying and practicing President Ho Chi Minh’s ideology, morality and lifestyle in the period of May 19, 2021 – May 19, 2022.

Mr. Thai Van Cu – Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee on behalf of the Party Committee presented the Preliminary Report of 1 year of implementing the Conclusion No. 01-KL/TW of the Politburo on studying and practicing ideology, morality and lifestyle from Ho Chi Minh in the period of May 19, 2021 – May 19, 2022. With this report, Mr. Thai Van Cu reviewed the difficulties caused by the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic, as well as the efforts to overcome difficulties and the development of each party member in the past during the implementation of Conclusion No. 01-KL-TW.

Party members gave presentation at the Conference

Representatives of the party cell also shared talks during the representation of the preliminary report of the Party Committee. In particular, three statements were delivered at the Conference:

• “Methods, contents and effectiveness of studying and practicing President Ho Chi Minh’s ideology, morality and lifestyle in the period of May 19, 2021 – May 19, 2022” by the representative of party cell no.1 from the Faculty of Medicine.
• “Volunteer activities according to Uncle Ho’s ideology and morality” of the representative of the party cell from the Faculty of Nursing.
• “Inspiring students about patriotism and sacrifice according to Uncle Ho’s ideology” by the representative of the party cell from the branch of social sciences and humanities

Meanwhile, the Conference also organized an award ceremony for 02 departments and 21 individuals with outstanding achievements in studying and practicing President Ho Chi Minh’s ideology, morality and lifestyle in the period of May 19, 2021-19 May 2022. The award aims to encourage all Party members to develop their strengths, to actively study and practice President Ho Chi Minh’s moral examples in the future.
