Nguyen Tat Thanh University participates in Vietnamese Culture Week in Cambodia

NTTU – On the occasion of the 55th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Cambodia and the year of friendship between Vietnam and Cambodia, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism in collaboration with the Ministry of Culture and Arts of Cambodia organized the Vietnamese Culture Week event in Cambodia.

Within the framework of this event, the exhibition “Cultural Heritage and Human Development” has just opened on the evening of August 10, in Phnom Penh. The program, chaired by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Vietnam, in collaboration with the Ministry of Education and Training of Vietnam, introduces more than 50 photos about the culture, landscapes, and people of Vietnam, especially natural heritages, the tangible and intangible cultural heritage of Vietnam literrally inscribed on the list of world heritages by UNESCO.

At this event, the delegation of Nguyen Tat Thanh University including Dr. Tran Ai Cam, President, Dr. Hoang Huu Dung, Vice President, Bui Quang Trung, MSc. – Head of Communication Department, Nguyen Quynh Son, MSc. – Director of the Center for International Student Support participated in the exhibition about Vietnam’s training programs and educational policies for Cambodian students.

In the morning of the same day at the Headquarters of the Cambodian Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports, together with the Ministry of Education and Training of Vietnam, Nguyen Tat Thanh University also participated in the Vietnam – Cambodia Education Cooperation Seminar. At the event, the two ministries discussed on effectively implementing the signed educational cooperation agreement in 2021 and proposed solutions to further improve the quality of training in the coming time. Vietnamese educational institutions, including Nguyen Tat Thanh University, also contributed ideas and provided information on support policies for Cambodian students to study in Vietnam.

 On the morning of August 11, the delegation of Nguyen Tat Thanh University had an informal meeting with the Khmer-Vietnamese Association in Cambodia, thereby signing a memorandum of understanding to support enrollment and award scholarships to Khmer Vietnamese children in Cambodia. The university also awarded 20 full scholarships to Vietnamese Khmer children, in addition, they will be supported with dormitory accommodation, full tuition fee scholarships during their specialized study at the University. On this visit, Nguyen Tat Thanh University also donated 1,000 USD to support facilities improvement at the headquarters of the Association. In the coming time, the University will continue to pay attention to supporting and actively contributing to the training of high-quality human resources for Cambodia, contributing to further tightening the friendship and solidarity between Vietnam and Cambodia.

Dr. Tran Ai Cam awards 20 full scholarships to Vietnamese Khmer children

In recent years, Nguyen Tat Thanh University has received many Cambodian students to study medicine, information technology, finance and accounting, preventive medicine, economic law, and architecture, etc. Studying at the University, Cambodian students are offered many opportunities by the University in learning as well as in daily life such as: tuition fee waiver, scholarship grant, free accommodation in the University’s dormitory and so on. Besides, the university also organizes extracurricular activities, cultureal exchange event with the Vietnamese community or others to help Cambodian students improve their language, familiarize themselves with the culture and lifestyle of the Vietnamese people.
