Nguyen Tat Thanh University organizes scientific workshop on advanced materials and applications

On December 7th, 2022, NTT Institute of Hi-Technology successfully hosted the scientific workshop on advanced materials and applications, aiming to connect scientists together for discussion, joint-research, and implementation of research findings to create products for the market. The workshop attracted the attention of many scientists, experts, and lecturers from higher education institutes and enterprises.

The workshop honorably received the participation of many esteemed guests, professors, associate professors, PhDs, scientists, and researchers from Ho chi Minh City University of Natural Sciences; Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology; HUTECH; Thu Dau Mot University; Nha Trang University; Fulbright University Vietnam; Vietnamese-German University; Duy Tan University; Industrial University of Ho Chi Minh City; HCMUTE; Ton Duc Thang University; Dong Thap University; Institute of Nanotechnology-VNUHCM; Nuclear Center in Ho Chi Minh City – Vietnam Atomic Energy Institute; Bayer Vietnam Ltd.; FinOS Technology Ltd.

Nguyen Tat Thanh University was led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Thi Hong – Vice President, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bach Long Giang – Manager of Science and Technology Department, Dr. Vu Van Van – Director of NTT Institute of Hi-Technology, together with many lecturers and researchers.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Thi Hong – Vice President of Nguyen Tat Thanh University, delivers the opening remarks

In the opening remarks, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Thi Hong affirmed that scientific and technological    activities are one of key strategic tasks of Nguyen Tat Thanh University, and went through the scientific research plan of the university. Prof. Hong also briefly introduced the establishment and development of NTT Institute of Hi-Technology where promotes and implements scientific and technological activities of Nguyen Tat Thanh University.

Dr. Vu Van Van – Director of NTT Institute of Hi-Technology

Dr. Vu Van Van – Director of NTT Institute of Hi-Technology presented the Institute’s cooperation activities, and achievements, as well as directions and action plans in the years to come. The institute receives much support from the university’s leaders and hopefully cooperates with more scientists in all research fields and directions that the institute has been implementing.

The workshop included presentations on research orientations and findings from five guest speakers: Entropy approach to minimization of machining processes in environmental protection by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ngo Dang Nghia; CdS, CdSe Nanotechnology: Synthesis and Applications by Dr. Nguyen Thi Lien Thuong; Dr. Doan Duc Chanh Tin – Nanomaterials and nanodevices for energy, environment, and biomedical research at INT; Introduction of sensors based on metal nanomaterials, hybrid materials towards environmental, medical-biological applications presented by Dr. Tran Thi Nhu Hoa; Applications of ion beams and nuclear analytical spectroscopies in exploring structures at atomic and nanoscale of materials presented by Dr. Luu Anh Tuyen.

The workshop on advanced materials and applications ended successfully with the fruitful cooperation between scientific researchers and experts on using laboratory equipment and measurement analysis, contributing to the development of research orientations of the country.
