Mr. Kim Kwan, Chairman of Nongbu Sanchon C&G Group, delivered a speech at the working session

Mr. Kim Kwan, Chairman of Nongbu Sanchon C&G Group, expressed gratitude to the university leadership for inviting the group to visit and collaborate with the university. Nongbu Sanchon C&G Group is a leading South Korean conglomerate specializing in cultivating and processing Cordyceps militaris, aquaculture, and poultry for implementing high-tech smart agricultural farm projects that are environmentally friendly. Additionally, the Group collaborates with the NFSWA Association in training and issuing ISO International Personal Certification (17024) in 107 different professions. The Group also serves as a hub for cooperation in education and scientific research between universities in Korea and universities in East Asia and Southeast Asia regions.

During the working session, the two parties discussed and proposed several significant matters related to the cooperation program between the university and Nongbu Sanchon C&G Group:

  • Personal ISO Certification Training: Collaboration in developing training programs for students, workers, and managers in Vietnam to obtain ISO certifications in various fields such as unmanned aerial vehicle (Drone) operation, traditional medicine, mechanical engineering, beauty industry, and high-tech agriculture. These fields currently face a shortage of skilled personnel in South Korea. Certification in ISO will facilitate visa application for E7 visa (skilled worker) in South Korea and enhance career advancement opportunities.
  • Educational Partnerships: Nongbu Sanchon C&G Group will support the university in training human resources for Korean studies at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Additionally, it will serve as a bridge for NTTU to collaborate with major universities in South Korea to establish international joint training programs (2+2; 3+1), support faculty members and postgraduate students of NTTU to connect with professors in Korea as scientific mentors.
  • Science and Technology: The group will support NTTU in establishing a stem cell research institute through training programs and research collaborations. With a team of young and high-quality scientists, this area is seen as potentially profitable for the university through technology transfer processes.

The working session concluded successfully, with both sides expressing the desire to soon sign an MOU to promote comprehensive cooperation across various fields.
