Memorandum of Understanding signing ceremony between Nguyen Tat Thanh University and LIXIL Corporation on improving the quality of training for architecture and design students

NTTU – On the afternoon of August 24, 2022, at Asiana Plaza (45 – 47 Phan Dang Luu Street, Binh Thanh District, Ho Chi Minh City), there was the cooperation signing ceremony on organizing the LIXIL Talent Match program: Nurturing talents of architecture and design students 2022–2023 between Nguyen Tat Thanh University and LIXIL Corporation * (Japan)

The Lixil Talent Match 2022-2023 aims to discover young talents, build a database of quality human resources in Architecture and Design in the future, as well as connect higher education institutes and learners with businesses to improve the quality of training – practical internship – job opportunities for interior – architecture students.

At the ceremony, Dr. Nguyen Lan Phuong – Vice President (in charge of International Cooperation) of Nguyen Tat Thanh University signed the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with LIXIL Corporation with the witness of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Hanh Nguyen – Dean of the Faculty of Architecture – Interior – Applied Fine Arts, and other lecturers. Following the collaboration, two partners agreed to:

– Improve the quality of professional training of Nguyen Tat Thanh University in the field of Architecture – Design, providing the quality graduates in accordance with the practical recruitment needs of architecture companies/offices;

– LIXIL Corporation will create opportunities for architecture – design students of Nguyen Tat Thanh University to do intern and work at architecture companies/offices selected to participate in the Lixil Talent Match 2022-2023 and subsequent years;

– Nguyen Tat Thanh University and LIXIL Corporation will co-organize the training and internship programs and events at companies/architectural offices participating in the Lixil Talent Match to enhance skills and experiences for students;

– Strengthen and promote the information and image of Nguyen Tat Thanh University in the construction – architecture – interior and design markets in Vietnam and Asia Pacific;

Along with the collaboration signing with higher education institutions, LIXIL Corporation also signed the cooperation with design companies in the southern region to lead students to participate and be familiar with design and consulting activities at consulting offices.

After the signing ceremony, the representative of LIXIL announced the ASDA 2023 competition – Residential Bathroom Space Design. The competition takes place at national level, the first prize winner will participate in the Asia Pacific regional competition.

Right after the ceremony, Nguyen Tat Thanh University and the Faculty of Architecture – Interior – Applied Arts has quickly disseminated and implemented a registration plan for students, facilitating them to experience an international competition with many prestigious and valuable prizes.
