International students celebrate Vietnamese Lunar New Year at Nguyen Tat Thanh University

Before the Lunar New Year of 2024, Nguyen Tat Thanh University organized the program “Welcoming the Lunar New Year 2024” for international students, while also rewarding students with excellent academic achievements and active participation in student movements in 2023.

The program was attended by: Dr. Hoang Huu Dung – Vice President of Nguyen Tat Thanh University; MSc. Hoang Huu Tien – Head of the University’s Office; MSc. Nguyen Tran Nhu Quynh – Director of the Admission Counseling Center; MSc. Bui Quang Trung – Head of the Communications Department; MSc. Nguyen Thi Thu Thao – Secretary of the University Youth Union, Head of the Student Affairs Department; MSc. Nguyen Quynh Son – Director of the International Student Support Center, along with representatives of the university’s departments, faculties, centers, and especially the presence of nearly 100 students from Laos and Cambodia currently studying at Nguyen Tat Thanh University.

In his opening speech, Dr. Hoang Huu Dung – Vice President of Nguyen Tat Thanh University, on behalf of the University Council and the Board of Directors, sent the best New Year wishes to international students studying at the university. At the same time, Dr. Dung also gave advice and notes to international students on celebrating the Lunar New Year 2024 in Vietnam to have a joyful, safe, and happy Tet.

This year, there are 43 international students studying at Nguyen Tat Thanh University who will celebrate Tet in Vietnam. On this occasion, the university’s Board of Directors has sent Tet gifts to Laotian and Cambodian students, along with red envelopes containing joy and a bit of luck to everyone.

As part of the program, Nguyen Tat Thanh University rewarded 97 international students with excellent academic achievements and active participation in 2023.

As of now, Nguyen Tat Thanh University has welcomed more than 250 students from Laos and Cambodia to participate in undergraduate and postgraduate programs, mainly in fields such as Medicine, Pharmacy, Nursing, Business Administration, Finance and Banking, Information Technology, etc. Over the years, international students studying at the University have received significant support in terms of dormitory accommodation, cultural exchange activities, sports, and student life care, such as the International Student Sports Festival, Vietnamese Karaoke Singing Contest, Mid-Autumn Volunteer Activities, outdoor excursions, Vietnamese traditional Tet celebrations for international students, Laos – Cambodia traditional Tet celebrations, etc.
