Expanding career opportunities for pharmacy students of Nguyen Tat Thanh University

NTTU – On the morning of May 4, 2021, at the main campus (District 4), the Faculty of Pharmacy of Nguyen Tat Thanh University collaborated with Hanoi CPC1 Pharmaceutical Joint Stock Company to successfully organize the Career-Oriented Workshop on “Opening Opportunities – Leading the Future”

Attending the workshop, on the side of Hanoi CPC1 Pharmaceutical Joint Stock Company, there were Mr. Nguyen Thanh Binh, General Director; Ms. Phuong Thu, Director of Ho Chi Minh City Branch. On the side of Nguyen Tat Thanh University, there were Prof. Nguyen Van Thanh, Vice President cum Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy; Dr. Vo Thi Ngoc My, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy, together with lecturers and more than 200 students from the Faculty of Pharmacy.

In the workshop, students of Nguyen Tat Thanh University were given an overview of the pharmaceutical industry in modern trends and jobs for pharmacy graduates. Most especially, this was also an opportunity for students to ask directly Hanoi CPC1 Pharmaceutical Joint Stock Company for the information about job positions, promotion opportunities, remuneration policy….

Students and enterprise exchange information

Within the framework of the workshop, the Faculty of Pharmacy of Nguyen Tat Thanh University and Hanoi CPC1 Pharmaceutical Joint Stock Company signed the Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation in training, scientific research and student recruitment. Specially, two parties agreed to facilitate and co-organize career counselling activities, connect with businesses for the recruitment, organize the job search skills training courses, offer internships and field trips for students of the Faculty of Pharmacy of Nguyen Tat Thanh University at branches of the company; contribute to the training program and the quality of pharmacy education of Nguyen Tat Thanh University.

Speaking at the workshop, Prof. Nguyen Van Thanh sent warm greetings and sincere thanks to the leaders of Hanoi CPC1 Pharmaceutical Joint Stock Company for their companionship throughout the years. The today’s signed memorandum of understanding affirmed the tight relationship between two parties, becoming a bridge for students to study, practice and develop their career. Besides, Prof. Nguyen Van Thanh also hoped that the leaders of Hanoi CPC1 Pharmaceutical Joint Stock Company would support the university to co-organize training courses on job seeking skills, offer workplace tours, field trips and internships for students at branches of the company across the country.

At the end of the workshop, a large number of students were directly interviewed and recruited by Hanoi CPC1 Pharmaceutical Joint Stock Company for many job positions in fields such as OTC, ETC, PS.

With this right and practical training orientation, 100% of students have been introduced to jobs after graduation and highly appreciated by employers for both professionalism and attitude, working behaviours and skills.
