A spectacular Opening Ceremony organized to welcome freshmen for academic year 2022- 2023
On November 18th, 2022, Nguyen Tat Thanh University organized the Opening Ceremony of the academic year 2022 – 2023 to celebrate the 40th Vietnamese Teacher’s Day (20/11/1982 – 20/11/2022) and warmly welcome new students in 2022.
The ceremony honorably received the participation of Dr. Nguyen Duc Cuong – Chief Inspector, Ministry of Education and Training; Mr. Nguyen Van Hieu – Director of Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training; Mr. Kith Sothearith – Consul General of the Kingdom of Cambodia in Ho Chi Minh City; Mr. Longphan Phaodavanh – Consul General of Lao PDR in Ho Chi Minh City; together with a large number of esteemed guests, leaders of Ministries, Government Agencies, Enterprises, media agencies; the Board of Directors, the University Council, lecturers, staff, and more than 4,000 new students of Nguyen Tat Thanh University.
This program is one of many activities to celebrate the new academic year and an opportunity for Nguyen Tat Thanh University to highly appreciate all staff and lecturers who have diligently contributed to the development and reputation of the university. It is also a special gift of Nguyen Tat Thanh University to welcome the new generation.

Speaking at the ceremony, Ms. Nguyen Mai Lan – Chairwoman of the University Council of Nguyen Tat Thanh University, sent her big congratulations to new students for passing the very difficult national high school exam to officially become students of the university. “Thank you for trusting and choosing Nguyen Tat Thanh University to follow your dreams and ambitions. Hopefully, during the time studying in the university, students can promote abilities and enthusiasm to adapt to a disciplined, competitive, dynamic and integrated working environment in the future”, said Ms. Nguyen Mai Lan.

In the joyful atmosphere of the opening ceremony, Dr. Tran Ai Cam – President of Nguyen Tat Thanh University, summed up the academic year 2021-2022, announced the vision and mission of the university in the new period, and sent her big congratulations and warm welcome to newcomers. “I hope that all new students of the academic year 2022 will follow the learning tradition of predecessors, actively self-study, be passionate, creative in learning, and constantly strive to improve your own professional skills so that the time studying at the university is really impressive, precious, and unforgettable”, said Dr. Tran Ai Cam.

Nguyen Tat Thanh University gained a very good result in this year student admission increasing its students to more than 25,000 students. The high results of entrance criteria for all majors certify the quality of students who are so excited to become members of the university. On this ceremony, the university honored and awarded two scholarships to two valedictorians. Each scholarship covers 100% of the tuition fee of the first year and subsequent academic years provided that the GPA reaches 3.2/4.0 or above.

In addition to the scholarships for entrance valedictorians, every year, the university also reserves more than 20 billion dong of incentive scholarships for academic valedictorians or poor students with high academic results. Besides, enterprises and partners of Nguyen Tat Thanh University have contributed to the scholarship fund worth more than 500 million VND.
In particular, the University organized a music gala performed by famous singers including S.T Son Thach, Momo, DJ Mie – Hong Thanh – MC Hype Ken, Rapper Lona.
The music gala night serves as a warm welcome to new students to start new academic journey at Nguyen Tat Thanh University in the academic year 2022–2023.
