A decade of exchanging “tickets” of knowledge

NTTU – More than just an educational institution trusted by parents and students, Nguyen Tat Thanh University is also a unit closely associated with social responsibility and development through activities such as scholarship grants, visits to policy beneficiary families, and participation in the Vu A Dinh Scholarship Fund, the “For Hoang Sa – Truong Sa Beloved Club,” and more.

Over the past years, Nguyen Tat Thanh University has consistently been an active partner in meaningful and practical projects of the Vu A Dinh Scholarship Fund. This includes activities such as receiving hundreds of students from the fund’s projects, granting full scholarships to ethnic minority students, children of coastal areas, customs officers, and law enforcement forces at sea, contributing to the development of young human resources for the country, and building and protecting the nation’s sky and sea. Especially during the Covid-19 pandemic, despite facing many difficulties, Nguyen Tat Thanh University has always stood by kind-hearted contributors to support numerous projects, assisting thousands of students affected by the pandemic to continue their education. From 2018 to the present, the university has contributed 132 full scholarships to 132 students for a total amount exceeding 17 billion VND to the Vu A Dinh Scholarship Fund.

Not only that, at the opening ceremony of the new academic year 2023 – 2024, Nguyen Tat Thanh University further contributed by establishing 01 reading room in Truong Sa Town and the 146th Naval Brigade; constructing 01 solidarity house for officers and professional soldiers in difficult circumstances; and granting 200 scholarships to students in coastal and island areas, with a total amount of 580 million VND, on the occasion of commemorating the 10-year journey “For Hoang Sa – Truong Sa Beloved.”

Nguyen Tat Thanh University has always been an active participant in meaningful and practical projects of the Vu A Dinh Scholarship Fund.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mrs. Truong My Hoa, Former Vice President of Vietnam, Chairwoman of the Vu A Dinh Scholarship Fund, and Head of the “For Hoang Sa – Truong Sa Club,” expressed her gratitude for the valuable contributions and sentiments from Nguyen Tat Thanh University. According to Mrs. Truong My Hoa, among the 132 scholarship recipients, 48 students graduated and become young intellectuals, playing crucial roles in the country’s frontier areas. Currently, there are still 84 students continuing their studies at the University.

Mrs. Truong My Hoa, Former Vice President of Vietnam, Chairwoman of the Vu A Dinh Scholarship Fund, and Head of the “For Hoang Sa – Truong Sa Club,” expressed her gratitude for the valuable contributions and sentiments from Nguyen Tat Thanh University.

“Thank you for the precious contributions and sentiments of the University. These contributions are of great significance and are a measure of compassion, the most vivid and practical educational lesson that the University gives to its students,” emphasized Mrs. Truong My Hoa.

In addition to accompanying the Vu A Dinh Scholarship Fund and the Beloved Hoang Sa – Truong Sa Club, Nguyen Tat Thanh University actively participates in activities such as sending delegations to visit soldiers and civilians on the Truong Sa archipelago, participating in events related to the Beloved Truong Sa, and supporting the UPRACE 2023 community running program.

Over the past decade, nearly 18 billion VND has been donated by Nguyen Tat Thanh University to the Vu A Dinh Scholarship Fund and various projects supporting students, children of soldiers in the sea and islands. These figures affirm the University’s commitment to social activities, considering it one of the key development goals of Nguyen Tat Thanh University in the 2020-2025 period, with a vision towards 2030.
