Nguyen Tat Thanh University organizes the conference to summarize the student support services in the academic year 2021 – 2022
NTTU – On March 14, 2023, Nguyen Tat Thanh University organized the conference to summarize the student support services in the academic year 2021 – 2022, aiming for reviewing and rewarding departments excellently completing the student support services, implementing the plan and syncing data of the academic year 2021 – 2022 to departments for the student support services; sharing experiences and collecting opinions about adjusted academic consulting activities in the new situation; proposing the effective solutions for student support services to reduce the dropout or absenteeism.
The conference received the participation of Dr. Tran Ai Cam – President, Dr. Nguyen Tuan Anh – Vice President, Dr. Hoang Huu Dung – Vice President, together with leaders, academic staff, and faculty members.
Addressing the opening speech, Dr. Tran Ai Cam – President expressed her deep gratitude to all academic staff and lecturers for their efforts to excellently complete the student support services in the academic year 2021 – 2022 with many proud achievements. Dr. Cam said that the university always pays attention to the student support services, the low rate of dropout shows the efforts of lecturers and academic staff during the last academic year. Learning from past years’ experiences, the university implemented many different methods in student care services, especially in the recent two years with more outstanding achievements. Dr. Cam hoped that the university would receive more experiences and opinons shared from lecturers and staff to maximize the student support services, particularly the academic mentoring role of of lecturers, to build academic mentoring models being more suitable and effective in the real situation.

In the conference, the Academic Affairs Department presented the report on the data and rate of dropout and absenteeism; the evaluation of dropout rate for the academic year 2021 – 2022; the proposed solutions for upgrading the academic affairs management software to support students better; data and plans for student support services and implementation of important academic affairs in the academic year 2022 – 2023.
The conference also included the representation of the Student Affairs Department presenting a preliminary report on the academic mentoring activities in the academic year 2021 – 2022; the evaluation on advantages and disadvantages of academic mentors; the announcement of the rewarding decision to departments successfully completing student support services in the academic year 2021-2022, academic mentors activities plan in the academic year 2022-2023, and collecting feedbacks on academic mentors in the new situation.
