Recently, on April 19, 2022, a professional meeting and a trial lecture of the Management Accounting course were held at the office of Faculty of Finance and Accounting, Nguyen Tat Thanh University (NTTU). This course was developed based on the integration of the Management Information module provided by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of England & Wales (ICAEW) into the training program in Accounting at NTTU.

The program was organized to implement the plan after the signing of a MOU on February 23, 2022 between the Institute of Chartered Accountants of England & Wales (ICAEW) and Nguyen Tat Thanh University on the integration of the Management Information module of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England & Wales into the official teaching curriculum in Management Accounting course (Accounting major, Faculty of Finance and Accounting). Lecturers from the Faculty of Finance and Accounting, NTTU are in charge of teaching the aforementioned course. All lectures will be compiled by lecturers in both Vietnamese and English with the aim of helping students regularly approaching and understanding international terms in Accounting. Thereby, students will be able to improve the capacity of specialized foreign languages, creating favourable conditions for students who intend to register for the internationally recognized ICAEW CFAB Certificate exam at ICAEW exam centres in the future.

Speaking at the meeting, Dr. Thai Hong Thuy Khanh – Dean of the Faculty of Finance and Accounting, emphasized: “This is one of the great opportunities for students of the Faculty of Finance and Accounting in particular and students of Nguyen Tat Thanh University in general, to access the network of BIG4 accounting firms. Especially, this is also to expand the opportunity to study an international standard training program and work adaptively in an integrated environment. This cooperation facilitates the improvement of professional knowledge and English communication skills for faculty members, contributing to the development of the faculty and the University as a whole.
