Vocal Music students receive professional training by Korean lecturers
NTTU – Following the success of previous music training programs for students, on July 23, 2024, Dean of the Faculty of Music and Cinema, Nguyen Tat Thanh University continued to successfully organize a workshop: “Magical Sound” for students majoring in Vocal Music.
The program was attended by international guests: Dr. Mi-Kyung Huh, Dean of the Music Faculty of Inje University. Representatives from Nguyen Tat Thanh University included Ms. Nguyen Thi Anh Tuyet – Dean, the Music and Cinema Faculty, teachers, all lecturers, staff and students in the Faculty.
The program is organized with the desire to help the faculties and students in the Faculty of Music – Cinema improve their professional knowledge and vocal techniques through classical vocal music. Through the program, lecturers can gain more teaching experience and methods from experts with extensive experience in studying and working in Korea and the United States. At the same time, it creates conditions for students of the Faculty, especially students majoring in Vocal Music, to directly study and practice with international lecturers who have many years of experience in teaching and performing.
“Magical Sound” consisted of two parts where Dr. Mi-Kyung Huh presided over the Master class – directly teaching and correcting classical vocal techniques for 5 students of the Vocal Music major, intakes 2021 and 2022 (Ha Phuong, Truong Huy, Le Quyen, Kieu Linh and Khai Nguyen), and also performed many songs.
The second part is a Mini classical music concert performed by lecturers and students of the Faculty of Music and Cinema, Nguyen Tat Thanh University.

Through lectures, technical corrections and live demonstrations by Prof. Mi-Kyung Huh, lecturer and students of the Faculty of Music and Cinema, Nguyen Tat Thanh University, the workshop audiences will gain more knowledge and useful experience in classical vocal performance skills and techniques. “This topic will also help the teaching faculties familiar with international exchanges, enhance their confidence and gain many good experiences in professional activities, thereby applying them to teaching students, increasingly perfecting their knowledge and vocal performance skills”, said MSc.
