Vietnam–Singapore Cultural Exchange: Bridging Cultures, Spreading Educational Values
NTTU – Recently, at the Information and Library Center (An Phu Dong Campus), the Faculty of Foreign Languages at Nguyen Tat Thanh University organized a Vietnam–Singapore cultural exchange program. The event welcomed over 50 students from the English and Chinese Language programs, along with a delegation of teachers and students from CHIJ St. Nicholas Girls’ School (SNGS), Singapore.
The activity aimed to foster mutual understanding between students of the two countries, broaden their international outlook, and inspire learning and future orientation for the younger generation in the context of globalized education.
Various fun and engaging activities were organized during the exchange, helping to strengthen the friendship between students of the two countries.
In the opening remarks, Dr. Nguyen Minh Thien – Vice Dean of the Faculty of Foreign Languages – warmly welcomed the delegation from Singapore and emphasized the important role of cultural exchange in fostering integration and sustainable development in education. Dr. Thien also highlighted Nguyen Tat Thanh University’s internationalization vision and strategy toward 2030, with a focus on sustainable growth in the field of education.
During the exchange, students from both institutions had the opportunity to introduce their learning environments and share unique aspects of their respective cultures. A lively highlight of the program was the presentation by NTTU students on Vietnamese culinary culture, which captivated the audience.The atmosphere became even more vibrant as student groups engaged in discussions on topics such as academic orientation, nurturing passion, and overcoming challenges on their personal and educational journeys.
Students from the two institutions shared presentations about their universities, fields of study, and the distinctive characteristics of each school.
A highlight of the program was the series of vibrant cultural performances from both institutions, including the energetic “Family Dance” by SNGS students and the dynamic “Like Jennie” performance by students from the Faculty of Foreign Languages. These performances not only brought a joyful and lively atmosphere but also showcased creativity and a vivid blend of cultures.
In a warm and friendly spirit, Nguyen Tat Thanh University and CHIJ St. Nicholas Girls’ School exchanged souvenirs and took commemorative photos, marking a meaningful day of cultural exchange and further strengthening the Vietnam–Singapore friendship in the field of education.
