Training course on skill development with smartphones, storytelling with images in innovation activities for students in 2022

NTTU – Recently, the training course on skill development with smartphones, storytelling with images in innovation activities for students in 2022 was co-organized by Nguyen Tat Thanh University’s Innovation and Incubation Center, the Youth Union, and the Southern Startup Advisory and Support Council, with the companion of Ho Chi Minh City Department of Science and Technology.

Attending the program, there were Ms. Nguyen Thi Thuy – Standing Vice Chairman of the Southern Startup Advisory and Support Council – Deputy Head of the Organizing Committee; Mr. Nguyen Thanh Tuan – Branch Manager of the SCTV8-ViTV Channel; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bach Long Giang – Director of Nguyen Tat Thanh University’s Innovation and Incubation Center cum Manager of Science and Technology Department; together with lecturers, more than 200 students from universities whose 40 projects entered the semi-finals of the contest “Students with startup ideas in 2022”.

The training course aims to promote the spirit of entrepreneurship, innovation, and scientific research as well as equip students with necessary knowledge and skills, video making skills by smartphones, storytelling skills with images in start-up innovation activities for students. This creates opportunities for students to understand the benefits of digital transformation in all areas of life.

Speaking at the event, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bach Long Giang sent his sincere thanks to partners for their support and contribution to build an innovative startup ecosystem for  students. He also congratulated the 18 teams on excellently entering the final round of the contest “Students with Startup Ideas in 2022”. The training course promises to bring great values for potential technological projects, find the link between ideas and the opportunity to experience with experts in the field of digital transformation with professional foundation to move forward, learn more knowledge, and contribute to realizing dreams of innovation startups.

After the training course, students have chances to be exposed to professional photography angles, overview of basic steps in making a marketing video with just a smartphone, creating young dynamic but professional videos which support students to have their products videoed in high quality in the final round of the contest. Besides, trained skills shall be a knowledge base for studying at universities as well as in workplaces in the future when Industry 4.0 gradually dominates today’s economic – social life. Students participated in the training session with enthusiasm, excitement, and actively raised questions about necessary skills in editing videos with smartphones.

During the past 23 years, Nguyen Tat Thanh University has constantly improved the quality of training, apart from the development of the training programs, the university has also organized many useful playgrounds and competitions to connect the entrepreneurial knowledge of experts with students and the startup community, upholding the creative spirit, realizing dreams of students, making an important contribution to the educational mission of the university in particular and the country in general.
