The workshop on “the labor market after the COVID-19 pandemic: changes and solutions”

 

NTTU – Within three days from 20th to 23rd June, 2022, the workshop on Labor market after the COVID-19 pandemic: changes and solutions” was hosted Thai Nguyen University of Economics and Business Administration by with the participation of more than 100 representatives from University of Salamanca (Spain), Nova University of Lisbon (Portugal), University of Padova (Italy), STEPS Srl Company, Hanoi University, Hanoi University of Industry, Vietnam Academy of Agriculture, Nguyen Tat University Thanh, Hanoi Small and Medium Enterprises Association, Thai Nguyen Provincial Tourism Association… The workshop is a part of the Lab – Movie project (Labour Market Observatory in Vietnam universities) – funded by Erasmus+ for the period 2020-2023.

The workshop consists of reports and roundtable discussion among project members on the results of surveying on labor and employment issues of enterprises in 3 sectors (Tourism, Agrifood, IT and telecommunications); discussion among project members, businesses, researchers, students about changes in the labor market after the Covid-19 pandemic as well as solutions to support students in finding jobs after graduation; training on methods of processing enterprise survey data on labor and employment issues; discussion on the dissemination plan and follow-ups of the project.

Nguyen Tat Thanh University is a project member in charge of researching and surveying enterprises in the field of Information Technology and Telecommunications in Ho Chi Minh City, and reporting those surveying results.

In the roundtable discussion, Dr. Nguyen Tuan Anh, Vice President of Nguyen Tat Thanh University cum Director of NTT Institute of International Education, together with speakers actively discussed and shared many solutions on the issue of “training and developing high-quality human resources after graduation. COVID-19 epidemic”.

The covid-19 pandemic has affected the training schedule of universities (including Nguyen Tat Thanh University), however, the university has flexibly changed and quickly adapted to online working and teaching with the application of information technology, the LMS system, digitalization, and video records to ensure the consecutive teaching and studying…
