The Q-Green Trading Company Limited is one of the businesses founded by students of Nguyen Tat Thanh University, with support and incubation from the NTTU Innovation and Incubation Center, nurturing innovative entrepreneurial ideas from students.
Starting from the initial idea upon noticing a significant amount of discarded orange peels from stores and mobile orange juice vendors, with the desire to contribute to environmental pollution reduction, he maximized the utility of these peels. Extracting characteristic orange oil from the peels, sourced after juicing the oranges from rural to urban areas, I utilized it to manufacture eco-friendly products such as scented candles, soap, hand sanitizer, and cosmetics. Ultimately, our products not only serve as natural alternatives but also act as nutrient-rich substances to replenish the soil without causing environmental pollution. We aspire to build a green and circular economy, where materials are taken from the land and returned to the land.
Q-Green was awarded iStart Top 10 Prize
Trinh Cong Qui’s idea has achieved significant recognition in various competitions. In 2022, it received an Encouragement Award in the Student Entrepreneurial Idea Competition, the Precious Prize in the Design Thinking Camp for Youth and Students, and the Second Prize in the Student Entrepreneurial Idea Competition organized by the Ministry of Education and Training.
Established in 2022, Q-Green initially focused on products such as essential oils, scented candles, soap, hand sanitizer, and organic body lotion through online commerce platforms. Over time, the company expanded its product line to include a green hair care set comprising scalp exfoliator, hair growth stimulant spray, and hair nourishing spray, all derived from orange peel oil extract, bringing a unique fragrance to the market.
Trinh Cong Qui’s hair care product set, a project that stood out, won the Potential Prize in the 2023 Student Entrepreneurial Idea Competition and the Precious Prize in the 2023 Design Thinking Open Innovation Competition.
Originating from environmental protection initiatives and a passion for environmentally friendly products, with support from the Faculty of Pharmacy at Nguyen Tat Thanh University and incubation from NIIC, Q-Green is steadily growing. It continues to offer beauty and health care products for environmentally conscious customers, contributing to the reduction of waste in daily life.
The ISTAR 2023 Innovation and Entrepreneurship Award for innovative businesses in 2023 served as a significant motivation, not only for startup companies but also for fostering an entrepreneurial spirit among students, right from their time in academia
