The cooperation seminar between the Department of Science and Technology of Nghe An Province and Nguyen Tat Thanh University

NTTU – In order to sign and implement the contents of the cooperation agreement between the Department of Science and Technology of Nghe An province and Nguyen Tat Thanh University, creating a basis for two sides to support and contribute to improving the quality of training and scientific research, technology transfer, entrepreneurship and innovation to meet the needs of society and international integration. At the same time, promote coordination between institutes, research groups of the university and localities, introduce and transfer new technologies suitable to social needs, contributing to increasing economic values and sustainable development, on the afternoon of December 8, 2022 at Nguyen Tat Thanh University, a conference on cooperation between the Department of Science and Technology of Nghe An province and the University was successfully organized in both virtual and physical platform.

Attending the conference, on the side of the Department of Science and Technology of Nghe An province, there were Mr. Tran Quoc Thanh – Director of the Department; Mr. Ngo Hoang Linh – Director of the Center for Advanced Application of Science and Technology; Mr. Nguyen Ba Trung – Deputy Director of Center for Advanced Application of Science and Technology; Mr. Nguyen Quy Hieu – Head of Scientific Management Department.

On the side of Nguyen Tat Thanh University, there were Dr. Tran Ai Cam – President; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Thi Hong – Vice President, together with leaders of departments and centers in charge of scientific research, technology transfer, innovation and entrepreneurship activities of the university.

Speaking at the opening of the conference, Dr. Tran Ai Cam – President of the university sent greetings to the leaders of the Department of Science and Technology of Nghe An province to work at the university and briefly introduced the operation situation, issues raised about the need for cooperation, especially the fields of scientific research and application, effective technology transfer into production and innovative start-up activities.

Talking at the conference, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Thi Hong – Vice President also expects the cooperation agreement in the period of 2022 – 2025 between two units to be the basis for the parties to jointly develop and implement in-depth and effective cooperation programs. promoting start-up support projects for NTTU students in the coming time, contributing more to the development in the fields of developing high-quality human resources, promoting science and technology work, starting innovation and creativity associated with real life.

In order to focus on innovating scientific research activities in the direction of application and transfer of high technology in association with socio-economic development goals of the province, the representative of the Department of Science and Technology of Nghe An province, Mr. Quoc Thanh – Director of the Department also shared that the Department wishes in the future to have the opportunity to cooperate comprehensively, using the knowledge force and resources from the University to support the Department in research work, scientific research, technology transfer, entrepreneurship and innovation, supporting the implementation of topics and projects that the University deploys in Nghe An province in order to integrate human resource training, improve qualifications expertise as well as skills in implementing topics and projects towards sustainable development, promoting research in the applied field.

Through exchange and discussion, two sides agreed to sign a comprehensive development cooperation program to implement many fields from now until 2025 and towards 2030 with the following cooperation contents: (1 ) The field of training, seminars, building and developing an innovative startup ecosystem to support capacity building, facilitate exchange, learn experiences and attend conferences discuss with each other to improve the quality in the process of training and scientific research; (2) Technological innovation, coordination in research, application, and technology transfer in the field of biotechnology, high technology in agriculture, aquaculture,…; (3) Science and technology market development program to support commercialization of research results and intellectual property to meet the needs of developing key industries, high-tech agriculture, connecting supply – technology needs between the province’s businesses and domestic and foreign partners, and develop human resources and research topics to meet the practical needs of the locality.
