The cooperation conference between Tra Vinh Department of Science and Technology and Nguyen Tat Thanh University

NTTU – On the afternoon of August 25, 2022, a cooperation conference between Tra Vinh Department of Science and Technology and Nguyen Tat Thanh University was held at Nguyen Tat Thanh University, to implement the contents of the cooperation agreement which was signed in February 2022, including the implementation of entrepreneurship and innovation activities; coordinate the implementation of scientific research and technology development; investment of promotion activities and introduction of scientific and technological products

Attending the conference, from the Department of Science and Technology of Tra Vinh province, there were: Mr. Pham Minh Truyen – Director of the Department; Mr. Tran Van Ut Tam – Deputy Director of the Department; Mr. Nguyen Van Tung, Chief of Office; Ms. Le Thi Ngoc Loan, Deputy Head of the Center for Information and Application of Science and Technology and representatives of units.

On the side of Nguyen Tat Thanh University, there were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Thi Hong – Vice President and representatives of faculties, institutes, departments and centers who are in charge of scientific research activities, technology transfer, technology supply and demand connection, innovation and startups.

Speaking at the opening of the conference, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Thi Hong – Vice President sent greetings to the delegation of the Department of Science and Technology of Tra Vinh province to work with NTTU, she also shared about the university’s science and technology activities, innovation and entrepreneurship. Over the years, Nguyen Tat Thanh University has always focused on scientific research, innovation and entrepreneurship and achieved certain achievements that are recognized by the society and the internationally recognized rankings. To achieve these achievements, besides the internal resources of the university staff, there are also cooperation with individuals and organizations, enterprises, research centers and institutes at home and abroad. In February 2022, the university signed a cooperation agreement on scientific research, technology development, entrepreneurship and innovation with the Department for the period 2022-2026. We hope and believe that this cooperation is an opportunity and a new step for both sides, especially for Nguyen Tat Thanh University in science, technology and innovation activities to meet social needs.

On behalf of leaders of Tra Vinh Province’s Department of Science and Technology, Mr. Pham Minh Truyen – Director of the Department shared that with the achievements Nguyen Tat Thanh University has achieved in recent years, the Department’s leadership board congratulations to NTTU and hope that in the coming time, the Department will have many cooperation contents with NTTU in all aspects, constantly strengthen the relationship of friendly cooperation, development in the fields of scientific research, technology transfer, innovation, and entrepreneurship.

At the conference, the delegation of the Department of Science and Technology of Tra Vinh province listened to Dr. Vu Van Van – Director of NTT High-Tech Institute shared on the research directions of NTT High-Tech Institute, the contents have been implemented in Tra Vinh and look forward to more collaborations, technology transfer with the locality. Also within the framework of the conference, Dr. Tran Viet Thang – Deputy Head of Science and Technology Department presented on multipurpose cloud IoT device and application in smart dairy farm management along with the potential for technology transfer and order fulfillment for locality. In addition, Ms. Huynh Hong Mai – Deputy Director of NTT Innovation and Incubation Center (NIIC) introduced about “innovative start-up activities and cooperation opportunities at NIIC and listened to representatives of leaders of units, scientists from the university presented a number of research directions that can be cooperated and implemented for the locality in Tra Vinh.

On the side of the Department of Science and Technology of Tra Vinh province, leaders of the Department wish to cooperate with Nguyen Tat Thanh University in scientific research and technology development: consulting, transferring technological processes and equipment has been successfully researched, manufactured or applied by the university in order to quickly put research results into production; jointly participate in scientific and technological advisory councils on selection, approval and acceptance of scientific research topics and projects of the province, supporting the implementation of topics and projects that the university deploys in the area. Tra Vinh province aims to integrate human resource training, improve professional qualifications as well as skills in implementing topics and projects; Coordinating start-up and innovation activities: organizing training courses, seminars, contests to share skills and experiences, building a start-up environment to improve quality and efficiency; at the same time equipping young people with entrepreneurial skills and knowledge; training human resources, markets, orienting production and business plans in the context of international economic integration; Connecting technology supply and demand for OCOP product development in Tra Vinh province.

The cooperation exchange conference ended with many special emotions, which is a testament to the tightening of long-term friendship and cooperation, marking a successful start to develop together in the future. It can be seen that in recent years, the university has constantly strengthened friendly cooperation relationships with localities through implementing projects at the State level, at the ministerial/Department level, technology transfer, innovation and entrepreneurship activities. From there, to provide human resources capable of scientific research, start-up and innovation with high competitiveness in the domestic and foreign labor market. This is a testament to the consistency of the university’s development orientation as well as the compatibility with the development trend of higher education in particular and society in general.
