Seminar on benefits and limitations of ChatGPT

NTTU – On March 09, 2023, Nguyen Tat Thanh University organized the seminar on benefits and limitations of ChatGPT within the framework of B2B connecting coffee program, being also live-streamed on the fanpage of Nguyen Tat Thanh University.

The speaker of the seminar was Prof. Dr. Do Phuc from University of Information Technology – VNU HCM, an expert on Chatbot with more than 25 experienced years.

The seminar received the participation of Mr. Hua Phu Doan – Chairman of the NTTU Business Club, Mr. Nguyen Hoang Duong – Vice Chairman of Saigon Entrepreneur Club, together with more than 100 business members of NTTU Business Club.

Representatives from Nguyen Tat Thanh University were Dr. Tran Ai Cam – President, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Thi Hong – Vice President, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Phuong – Manager, Department of Corporate Relations and Job Placement for Students, Ms. Duong Thi Kim Xoa – Deputy Manager, Department of Corporate Relations and Job Placement for Students, more than 50 faculty members and 500 students who participated online.

Opening the seminar, Dr. Tran Ai Cam sent her sincere thanks to esteemed partners for accompanying and supporting Nguyen Tat Thanh University during 24 years of development. Dr. Cam also gave an overview of the seminar objectives, the concept, the advantages of ChatGPT, the benefits and limitations of Artificial Intelligence to the life.

The program started with the signing ceremony of comprehensive cooperation between Nguyen Tat Thanh University and Fujiwa Vietnam Co., Ltd. On providing internships and job opportunities for students of Nguyen Tat Thanh University, as well as constantly improving the quality of training and human resources meeting needs of the company.

Following the signing ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Huu Tuan – Sales Manager of Hyundai Dong Nam Vehicle Joint Stock Company awarded scholarships to students of the faculty of engineering and technology. Those scholarships are not only worth in cash but also worth in spirit for students to overcome their obstacles to continue their education.

The seminar on benefits and limitations of Chat GPT was hosted by Prof. Dr. Do Phuc and Mr. Nguyen Thanh Phuong, sharing overviews on Chat BPt as well as different perspectives on impacts of Chat GPT on education and development of businesse, since then strategies, methods, and evaluation of businesses would be changed for the adaptability. The university and students would make appropriate plans and apply this tool in the digital era.

The same to any new technology, Chat GPT brings concerns and challenges need to be solved. The seminar pointed out challenges from Chat GPT, finding appropriate actions to minimize negative impacts and effectively enhance positive effects of Chat GPT. There were discussions with many useful opinions and clear answers. Most of participants agreed that artificial intelligence technology appears in all aspects of life and has become an essential part of human civilization. It is believed that Chat GPT can play an important role in promoting innovation for businesses and Nguyen Tat Thanh University.

The seminar was also a forum for faculties and businesses to exchange opportunities for cooperation, discussion, and suggestions in improving the quality of education, innovating teaching methods, and connecting with enterprises to offer internship programs, supporting students to practice skills and cultivate professional knowledge to become good emloyees.

Ending the program, participants were introduced to the admission information of graduate programs, distance learning programs, second degree programs…which support businessmen and employees to improve professional knowledge and qualifications, and possibly become lecturers at Nguyen Tat Thanh University.
