Opportunity to obtain international master’s degree for Nguyen Tat Thanh University students

On the morning of March 15th, 2021, at the District 4 campus, Nguyen Tat Thanh University (NTTU) signed a memorandum of understanding with the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT).

Attending the signing ceremony, there were the participations of Dr. Phung Van Dong, Director of the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT) in Vietnam; Dr. Nguyen Xuan Vang, Senior Advisor of Asia Technology in Vietnam and NTTU; Ms. Pham Thi Thanh Thuy, AIT Representative in Vietnam. Welcoming AIT delegates, on the side of NTTU, there were Dr. Tran Ai Cam, President of NTTU; Dr. Nguyen Lan Phuong, Vice President; Dr. Nguyen Tuan Anh, Vice President; Mr. Le Quang Khanh, Head of International Relations Department and a number of staff from other departments.

At the signing ceremony, both sides exchanged opinions regarding their strengths in training activities, especially postgraduate training programs. Director of AIT in Vietnam highly appreciated the achievements of NTTU in which the most impressive achievement was to be recognized as a 4-Star higher education institution by QS Stars (UK) in 2019. At the same time, AIT hopes that there will be more cooperation programs between AIT and NTTU in the near future.

 

Both sides are discussing about the cooperation

After rounds of discussions, both sides signed a memorandum of understanding of the international unified Bachelor’s – Master’s degree program in the following majors including Hospitality Management, Accounting, Business Administration, Logistics and Supply Chain Management, Information Technology. The joint training program is expected to be implemented in 2021, in which students will study the bachelor program in Hospitality Management, Accounting, Business Administration, Logistics and Supply Chain Management, IT at NTTU for 3 years and transfer to postgraduate study at AIT Thailand for 2 years. Apart from training, the two sides will also promote academic staff exchange, development of modern facilities and English learning environment throughout the program. AIT is also committed to supporting NTTU students studying at AIT Thailand with a discounted tuition fee.

In addition to an undergraduate degree accredited by the Ministry of Education and Training and AUN-QA assessment organization meeting the domestic and ASEAN standards in higher education, students participating in the international unified Bachelor’s – Master’s degree program will be granted an Asian higher education standard accredited postgraduate degree by AIT. This will be a great opportunity for NTTU students to integrate internationally, improve professional expertise for their future career.

The aim of AIT is to develop a team of highly qualified and committed professionals who play a leading role in technological innovation and sustainable development in the region.
