Opening session of the Grassroots-level Council for Professor Title at Nguyen Tat Thanh University in 2024

NTTU – Implementing the Qualification Schedule for Professor and Associate Professor titles in 2024 of the State Council of Professors, July 16, 2024, Grassroots Professor Council of Nguyen Tat Thanh University (NTT University) organizes a public review of the results of application appraisal and overall report evaluation of associate professor candidates in 2024.

The opening session of the Grassroots-level Council for Professor Title of Nguyen Tat Thanh University was attended by representatives of the University’s leaders: Dr. Nguyen Mai Lan, Chairwoman of the Board of Directors, General Director of Saigon Textile and Garment Joint Stock Company – Secretary of the University’s Party Committee, Chairwoman of the University Council; Dr. Tran Ai Cam, President, University Council Member; Prof. Dr. Emeritus professor. Nguyen Van Thanh, Vice President, Chairman of the University’s Science and Training Council; Assoc. Prof., Dr. Tran Thi Hong – Vice President – Chairwoman of the Grassroots-level Council for Professor Title and members of the Grassroots-level Professors Council, the Foreign Language Competency Evaluation Team and Associate Professor candidates in 2024.

Dr. Nguyen Mai Lan emphasized the support of the University’s leaders in improving the scientific research capacity of lecturers and researchers. “As the university’s leader, we always care, facilitate and support the candidates. Recently, the University Council approved the implementation of a policy to attract lecturers with Professor, Associate Professor and Doctorate degrees, showing that the University’s leaders always appreciate and wish to attract high quality human resources. These human resources contribute to the strong development of the University. We hope that these supports as well as many other investment policies will help NTTU improve its internal quality and develop in accordance with its vision by 2035 to become an innovative, multi-disciplinary, multi-level university. with high international integration, providing human resource training closely associated with domestic and foreign needs, meeting regional and international standards” – Dr. Nguyen Mai Lan said. In addition, the University also thanked the supports of the State Council of Professors in general and the Office of the State Council of Professors in particular for always supporting the University’s Grassroots-level Council for Professor Title as well as the candidates for Associate Professors and Professors. At the same time, the University’s leaders always trusted and believed in the capacity and impartiality of the members of the NTTU’s Professor Council. She also wished the University’s Grassroots Professors Council and the candidates a successful working session and an excellent performance to meet required standards.

On behalf of the Grassroots-level Council for Professor Title of Nguyen Tat Thanh University, Assoc. Prof., Dr. Tran Thi Hong thanked the University’s leaders for always caring, supporting and trusting the Council members. Council members will work fairly and rigorously to help the University select the qualified Associate Professor candidates according to regulations to introduce to the State Council of Professors Title.

In 2024, 100% of candidates registered for the recognition of Associate Professorship are full-time lecturers at Nguyen Tat Thanh University. This is strong evidence that the work of recognizing the qualifications for the Associate Professor title has increasingly received the attention of lecturers and researchers, demonstrating the efforts and strong agreement of the lecturers and researchers with the policy of developing high-quality faculties and staff of a higher education institution; At the same time, this is also a concern from the public.

After 25 years of establishment and development, under the direction and support of the University’s leaders in undergraduate and postgraduate training and scientific research in general, consideration and recognition for the title of Associate Professorship at Nguyen Tat Thanh University increasingly demonstrates the right direction and strong development of the University. NTTU’s lecturers and researchers who have been recognized by the State Council of Professor Title met scientific title standards over time contribute great effort and expertise to educating and training new undergraduates and postgrads, contributing to promoting research and development activities of science and technology in Vietnam.
