NTTU students enter the finale of Inter-University English competition: Spell in a Nutshell 2025- Season 2
NTTU – On March 19, 2025, at Hall A801 – Nguyen Tat Thanh University, the 2025 inter-university English competition with the theme “Spell in a Nutshell” – Season 2 took place enthusiastically, gathering 120 students from 12 universities in Ho Chi Minh City and neighboring provinces.

With 33 universities participated across Ho Chi Minh City and neighboring provinces compared to 28 in 2024, the competition continues to establish itself as an in-depth academic platform, helping students improve their English skills while providing opportunities to engage with international language standards.

In particular, the program, organized by Nguyen Tat Thanh University in collaboration with Dai Truong Phat Education Solutions, aims to create a healthy academic environment, helping students improve their reflexive skills, linguistic thinking, and expand their network and connections amongst students from different universities.

Prof. Dr. Tran Thi Hong – Vice President of Nguyen Tat Thanh University emphasized: “With an educational philosophy that connects theory with practice, NTTU always focuses on equipping students with comprehensive skills, where foreign languages and international integration capabilities are key factors. Students from various universities perform well with a strong sense of determination
The contestants in the English major category went through a series of intense rounds, including: multiple-choice questions, spelling, word writing, and onstage sessions. These rounds were designed to comprehensively assess the contestants’ language skills in vocabulary, semantics, and phonetics according to international standards. The panel consisted of many English language experts and experienced lecturers, ensuring professionalism and impartiality in judging.

With a desire for acquiring knowledge and high determination, students from Nguyen Tat Thanh University continued to affirm their abilities and stands on the large-scale academic platform. Excelling in the English major category, one student from NTTU enters the final round, demonstrating strong performance and composure, showcasing confidence and a solid foundation in language knowledge.
Earlier, on March 18, at Hong Bang International University, NTTU students also participated in the semifinals of the Non-English Major category. Dang Thai Binh excellently won the Consolation Award along with two other representatives from NTTU, officially advanced to the final round in both competition categories.
