NTTU connect startup ecosystem to create opportunities for students
NTTU – On February 16, 2025, Nguyen Tat Thanh University signed a cooperation agreement with the Southern Startup Support Advisory Council. This marks the 6th year the university has partnered with the council to promote the development of NTTU’s entrepreneurship training program, opening up many opportunities for students to access knowledge and skills in innovative entrepreneurship.
Attending the event on behalf of the Southern Startup Support Advisory Council were Mr. Huynh Thanh Van – Chairman; Journalist Pham Hung – Deputy Editor-in-Chief of the Business Forum Magazine; along with other council members.
Representing Nguyen Tat Thanh University included Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Thi Hong – Vice President; Mrs. Huynh Hong Mai – Deputy Director of the NTT Innovation and Incubation Center; Mr. Pham Van Dat – Head of the Department of Corporate Relations and Job Placement for Students, along with other NTTU faculty members. Additionally, there were leaders from various universities and businesses within the innovation network present to engage and collaborate with the Council.
Speaking at the event, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Thi Hong stated: “ In 2024, NTTU and the Council have completed five important activities, including entrepreneur exchanges, conducting the ToT training class to enhance the capacity of lecturers, providing entrepreneurship skills training for students, mentoring activities, and organizing the innovative startup competition for students with 192 startup projects from students of 37 universities nationwide participating…” Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Thi Hong expressed pride in the successful outcomes of these activities, which have contributed to improving the quality of education and supporting students on their entrepreneurial journey.
In 2025, the university will continue to deepen its collaboration with the Council through seven key activities related to entrepreneurship. Among these, two special activities include: the Council advising NTTU on implementing the “Innovative Entrepreneurship Module,” and NTTU will also cooperate with the Council to compile and publish a book series for entrepreneurship training. This is one of the highly practical and beneficial activities that will support the university’s teaching efforts. In addition, many other activities will be developed and refined based on the achievements of 2024 to organize programs that are relevant and in line with current trends.

During this event, Nguyen Tat Thanh University was awarded the commemorative medal “Co-organizer for startup activities of 5 consecutive years” and the Certificate of Merit “Active Member in the Southern Startup Support Advisory Council.” It is believed that 2025 will see many innovative ideas develop strongly and achieve even greater accomplishments, not only for Nguyen Tat Thanh University but also for the wider startup community.
