NTTU and Chosun University (South Korea) Sign MOU to Boost International Training and “Well-Aging” Research

NTTU – On the morning of January 29, Nguyen Tat Thanh University (NTTU) officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Chosun University (South Korea). This event marks a new milestone in the University’s internationalization strategy, opening up an opportunities for academic exchange and scientific research for students and faculty from both institutions.
The delegation from Chosun University was led by Prof. Dr. Jang Hyeon Jin. Representing NTTU were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Kim Hong – President of NTTU, along with leaders from various departments, faculties, and institutes.
A Commitment to Globalized Education and Sustainable Development
In his welcoming remarks, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Kim Hong emphasized that NTTU highly values the prestige, training quality, and international vision of Chosun University. According to the President, this meeting was a vital opportunity for both parties to share expertise and strengthen mutual understanding, paving the way for practical cooperation within the flourishing educational relationship between Vietnam and South Korea.
“We believe that based on trust, respect, and mutual growth, the partnership between our two universities will bring practical benefits to learners and faculty, while contributing positively to society,” stated Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Kim Hong.

The two universities agreed to focus on several critical areas of collaboration:

Flexible Academic Models: Implementing student and faculty exchange programs through models such as 1+3, 2+2, 3+1, 4+0, and various postgraduate programs. These pathways allow NTTU students to access international learning environments early, enhancing their foreign language proficiency and global mindset.

Short-term Programs & Cultural Exchange: Organizing academic workshops, cultural exchanges, professional internships, and practical experience activities to boost students’ soft skills and integration spirit.

Scientific Research & Innovation: Promoting joint research projects, academic conferences, art exhibitions, and creative initiatives. Both sides aim to leverage their unique strengths to create research products with high social and practical value.



Strategic Focus on “Well-Aging”
A standout feature of this collaboration is the development of training programs centered on Well-Aging (Healthy Aging). In response to the global challenge of aging populations, both universities will explore joint efforts in:

NTTU leadership noted that “Well-Aging” is a highly relevant research direction that aligns perfectly with the university’s existing strengths in health sciences and technology.
Building a Career Roadmap for Students
Beyond academics, the two institutions will collaborate on building clear career pathways. This includes foundational training, Korean language preparation, and essential skill-building, followed by specialized major training and job placement support. This approach reinforces NTTU’s core philosophy of “real-world education,” bridging the gap between the classroom and the global labor market.
