NTTU accompanies the Vu A Dinh Scholarship Fund to visit troops and people on Truong Sa Islands
NTTU – For generations, every Vietnamese, the sea and islands have always been a part of the flesh and blood of the homeland and the country. The peace we are having today is thanks to the blood, sweat and tears of so many fallen heroes. In particular, in peacetime like the present, the soldiers at the head of the storm are the ones who have exchanged their youth to dedicate themselves to the independence of the country. Understanding that sacrifice, from May 6, 2022 to May 18, 2022 on behalf of Nguyen Tat Thanh University and 19 delegates from Vu A Dinh Scholarship Fund and the Club for beloved Hoang Sa- Truong Sa, joined the 7th mission organized by the Navy Command to visit and mobilize troops and people on Truong Sa Islands and the DK1/12 rig.
Participating in the 7th mission in 2022, there are more than 220 delegates from 23 units and ministries, including Naval Service, Naval Region 4, Brigade 146, Ministry of Public Security, Ministry of Interior, Ministry of Education and Training, the Party Committee of the Central Enterprise Sector, the delegation of Hoa Binh province, the delegations of Binh Duong, Binh Phuoc, Ba Ria – Vung Tau, Gia Lai, Kon Tum provinces, Vu A Dinh Scholarship Fund… Admiral Pham Van Quang – Vice Chairman of Political Affairs of the Navy was the leader of the delegation. The delegation of Vu A Dinh Scholarship Fund, the club for beloved Hoang Sa – Truong Sa led by Mrs. Nguyen Viet Trieu – Vice President of the club. On the side of Nguyen Tat Thanh University, the representative is Mr. Tran Quoc Qui – Standing Deputy Manager of Student Affairs Department.
During this trip, the 7th Mission with the Vu A Dinh Scholarship Fund and the beloved Club for Hoang Sa – Truong Sa gave gifts to officers, soldiers and people on the islands of the Truong Sa archipelago: Truong Sa Lon Primary School, Sinh Cun Primary School and Song Tu Tay Primary School. The delegation built a program to introduce the Vu A Dinh Scholarship Fund and the club for beloved Hoang Sa – Truong Sa on the radio of the ship KN 491 and introduced about 2 schools built by the fund on the Truong Sa archipelago. The broadcast made many good impressions and helped the delegates better understand the activities of the Vu A Dinh Scholarship Fund and the club for beloved Hoang Sa – Truong Sa.
Mr. Tran Quoc Qui and the Vu A Dinh Scholarship Fund give gifts to soldiers on the Truong Sa archipelago
During this visit to the army and people in the Truong Sa archipelago, Nguyen Tat Thanh University donated a gift for the business trip in the amount of VND 50,000,000. With this money, Nguyen Tat Thanh University wishes to contribute a small part to show gratitude to the soldiers, children of soldiers and people living and dedicating in the beloved Truong Sa archipelago.
On behalf of the university, Mr. Tran Quoc Qui introduced Nguyen Tat Thanh University to the delegates participating on the ship KN491, including the fact that the university has accompanied the Vu A Dinh Scholarship Fund to take care of students, ethnic minorities, children of soldiers in the islands by sponsoring full scholarships for their children to study at the university according to the list provided by the Vu A Dinh Fund every year.

According to Mr. Tran Quoc Qui, this is a meaningful trip that not only fulfills the university’s responsibility to the soldiers, children and people on the Truong Sa archipelago, but also an opportunity for Nguyen Tat Thanh University to connect more members of the Vu A Dinh Scholarship Fund and the club for the beloved Hoang Sa – Truong Sa as well as expressing gratitude to the soldiers and people in the Truong Sa archipelago. Exemplary in ethics, active in activities and standards in behavior and communication during the whole business trip Mr. Tran Quoc Qui was praised by the Fund’s leaders and in charge of the delegation and awarded a certificate of merit from the President of the Vu A Dinh Scholarship Fund.
For many years, Nguyen Tat Thanh University has been one of the active units that always stand by and accompany the meaningful and practical projects of the Vu A Dinh Scholarship Fund. Each year, this project will sponsor 50 full scholarships for 50 students with a total funding of up to 6 billion VND. Up to now, the university has received 75 students from the projects of the Vu A Dinh Scholarship Fund. The awarding of study promotion scholarships to students with difficult circumstances in remote areas is one of activities with profound humanistic meaning of Nguyen Tat Thanh University. Thereby demonstrating the role and responsibility of the university in front of society in human resource training and talent development.
