Nguyen Tat Thanh University’s Business Club and Ho Chi Minh City Medical Equipment Association visit Cambodia

NTTU – From February 8 to February 10, 2025, the delegation led by Mr. Hứa Phú Doãn – President of the Business Club of Nguyen Tat Thanh University and the Ho Chi Minh City Medical Equipment Association, visited and worked in Cambodia to promote trade, investment, and education cooperation with partners. The business trip achieved significant results, opening up many opportunities for future collaboration.

Promoting trade and educational cooperation

The main goal of the business trip was to connect and expand relations between Vietnamese and Cambodian businesses, seeking opportunities for cooperation in investment, trade, and education. On the first day (February 8), the delegation had a meeting with the Vietnam-Cambodia Friendship Association to discuss collaboration programs and support for businesses from both countries. The meeting focused on solutions to support Vietnamese businesses when expanding operations in Cambodia, organizing future trade promotion events, and sharing experiences from Vietnamese companies that have succeeded in Cambodia.

The delegation then met with several prominent entrepreneurs in Cambodia to further discuss the potential for cooperation in specific areas. The Cambodian business leaders also expressed interest in connecting with Vietnamese companies to develop trade and investment projects. Additionally, the discussions emphasized finding sustainable cooperation models, promoting bilateral investment, and improving the quality of products and services.

Educational cooperation and human resource development

On February 9, the delegation visited and worked with Chenla University. The meeting focused on discussing cooperation in training and developing the faculties of Diagnostic Imaging and Physical Therapy. Both sides discussed the exchange of lecturers and students, as well as developing joint training programs to improve the quality of human resources in the healthcare sector. Additionally, the delegation proposed a scholarship program for Cambodian students who wish to study in Vietnam. This is an important step in fostering educational connections between Nguyen Tat Thanh University and universities in Cambodia, contributing to the enhancement of training quality and scientific research.

In addition, representatives from both sides discussed the establishment of a joint research center to promote innovation projects in the healthcare sector. This collaboration not only supports students by providing a better learning environment but also opens up career development opportunities after graduation.

As part of the business trip, on the morning of February 10, the delegation met with the Vietnamese Embassy in Cambodia to be updated on Cambodia’s trade and investment policies. During the meeting, the delegation listened to discussions about the priority areas the Cambodian government is focusing on, including healthcare, information technology, and sustainable development. Additionally, the delegation proposed solutions for cooperation to support Cambodian students studying in Ho Chi Minh City, including enhancing academic exchanges, providing practical training programs, and assisting with job placement after graduation.

The embassy appreciated these initiatives and committed to coordinating efforts to facilitate future cooperation programs. In addition, the parties discussed ways to support Vietnamese businesses entering the Cambodian market, aiming to enhance investment effectiveness and promote sustainable development.

This business trip to Cambodia has yielded many positive results, contributing to strengthening the cooperation between businesses of both countries and opening up educational cooperation opportunities between Nguyen Tat Thanh University and universities in Cambodia. The achieved outcomes will serve as a crucial foundation for future trade promotion and educational cooperation activities, helping to enhance the strong relationship between Vietnam and Cambodia.

In the future, the parties will continue to maintain regular dialogues to ensure effective and sustainable cooperation. Additionally, cultural exchange programs, seminars, and joint research projects will be promoted to create even more value in the bilateral relationship between the two countries.
