Nguyen Tat Thanh University’s 24th anniversary: Proud traditions – Profound achievements
NTTU – On June 5th, 2023, Nguyen Tat Thanh University solemnly celebrated the 24th anniversary of its establishment (June 5th, 1999 – June 5th, 2023), marking a milestone on the sustainable development of the university in education and training of Vietnam.
The anniversary celebration honorably received the participation of Ms. Nguyen Mai Lan – Chairwoman of the Board of Directors & Chairwoman of the University Council; Dr. Tran Ai Cam – President; Mr. Nguyen Kim Quy – Vice chairman, Board of Directors; Mr. Tran Van Ai – Vice Chairman of Board of Directors and of the University Council; Mr. Nguyen Van Luong – Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors and of the University Council; Dr. Nguyen Lan Phuong – Vice President; Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Thanh – Vice President; Dr. Hoang Huu Dung – Vice President; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Thi Hong – Vice President; Dr. Nguyen Tuan Anh – Vice President; together with leaders of departments, faculties, institutes and centers of the university, especially the participation of guests, journalists, reporters from news agencies, television channels….

June 5th becomes an annual traditional day for lecturers and students of Nguyen Tat Thanh University to recall memories and express gratefulness to generations of lecturers, staff, and students who accompanied and devoted to the development of the university since its establishment. The anniversary celebration is also an opportunity for the university to convey its sincere thanks to the State authorities and partners for their support and companionship with the university during the past time.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Ms. Nguyen Mai Lan emotionally shared the 24-year journey of the university, with the enthusiasm and great efforts of those who laid the first foundation, achieving proud accomplishments and sustainability in the future. She also sent her gratitude to individuals and those who have contributed to the development of the university, emphasizing that Nguyen Tat Thanh University will inherit and promote accumulated achievements and experiences, with the spirit of dare to think, dare to act, dare to innovate. Thus, it enables creating a positive academic environment, and practical experience in the new development period – the innovation, comprehensive international integration, and digital transformation, contributing to the development of the economy – society, developing comprehensively, and bringing the university to new level which is worthy of the glorious tradition of 24 years of construction and development.

In the joyful atmosphere of the 24th anniversary celebration, Dr. Tran Ai Cam – President, also emotionally reviewed the long journey of Nguyen Tat Thanh University, conveyed her sincere thanks and best wishes to generations of lecturers and staff who have been working at the university. The president shared the development strategy of Nguyen Tat Thanh University in the period of 2020-2025, with a vision to 2035 which is to become a smart start-up and innovation-oriented university aiming for a positive academic environment, hands-on experience, quick adaptability to change, and providing human resources with capability of start-up, innovation, integration, and high competitiveness in the domestic and international labor market.
24-year sustainable development journey of Nguyen Tat Thanh University
Over 24 years of establishment and development, Nguyen Tat Thanh University has gradually affirmed its brand value on the education map both in Vietnam and overseas through the quality of training with diverse professions, becoming one of the top choices of many students, providing thousands of high-quality human resources each year to the labor market.
Holding the belief of dare to think, and dare to act, Nguyen Tat Thanh University has constantly affirmed its position, achieving national and international standards with 24 accredited training programs according to the Circular 04 of the Ministry of Education and Training, AUN – QA, UPM rating and ranking system, accounting for 42% of the total number of training programs. The university continued to be reaccredited and recognized as 4 stars according to QS Stars Rating System and achieved such significant performances as Top 12 Vietnamese universities by University Ranking by Academic Performance (URAP), 4th rank out of 178 universities in Vietnam by Webometrics and Top 4 out of 24 universities in Vietnam by SCImago Institutions Rankings 2022. It is the 2nd non-public university in the country and the only non-public educational institution in Ho Chi Minh City to be in the Top 20 on the 100 Vietnamese universities ranking in 2023.
