Nguyen Tat Thanh University work with Cracow University of Technology

NTTU – On November 15, Nguyen Tat Thanh University had a meeting to welcome and work with the delegation of Cracow University of Technology from Poland, to discuss and exchange directions for cooperation to open up learning opportunities and practice for lecturers and students of the two institutions.

On behalf of the delegates of Cracow University of Technology attending the meeting, there were MSc.Katarzyna Baron-Lisiakiewicz – Head of International Cooperation Department; Dr. Luiyna Domacala – Head of the Faculty of Civil Engineering and Prof.Dr. Stanislaw M. Rybicki – Head of the Faculty of Environmental and Energy Engineering.

Representatives of Nguyen Tat Thanh University are MSc. Le Quang Khanh – Head of International Relations Department; Dr. Vu Truong Vu – Head of the Faculty of Civil Engineering; Dr. Vo Thi Dieu Hien – Head of Natural Resources and Environmental Management Department and MSc. Nguyen Phuong Thong – Deputy Head of International Relations Department.

Opening the meeting, MSc. Le Quang Khanh – Head of International Relations Department introduced an overview of the highlights of Nguyen Tat Thanh University such as facilities, training system, international cooperation programs, and business cooperation, etc.

MSc.Katarzyna Baron-Lisiakiewicz – Head of International Cooperation Department shared that Nguyen Tat Thanh University fully meets the elements of a strategic partner that Cracow University is looking for. She also mentioned the potential for cooperation between the two universities, especially in the fields of Civil Engineering, Transportation and Environmental Engineering.

Also during the meeting, representatives of Cracow University of Technology also proposed forms of cooperation in doctoral training, exchanging lecturers between the two universities with tuition exemption and living cost support to improve the qualifications of learners, as well as tightening the international connection between the two educational institutions. The two sides exchanged and discussed related contents to improve students’ capacity and international integration ability, reaching an agreement on a one-semester student exchange program. As a result, participating students do not have to pay tuition and enjoy optimal living expenses so students can both save money and experience studying in an international environment.

In addition, based on the strengths of the Construction and Environmental Engineering sectors of Cracow University of Technology, Cracow University of Technology has shared with Nguyen Tat Thanh University the full scholarships (tuition exemption & other support for other living expenses) sponsored by the Erasmus+ for a multi-degree Master’s program with competitive admission (only 25 places per year). This is the foundation and opportunity for Nguyen Tat Thanh students to access the international Master’s program, opening up countless potentials to help students solidify their knowledge, confidently integrate and shine in the current globalization context.

Through preliminary discussions, representatives of Nguyen Tat Thanh University and Cracow University of Technology expect to achieve the goals and directions of cooperation discussed at the meeting and establish a cooperative development relationship in the future to bring learning and development opportunities to students of the two universities.

It is known that previously on February 10, 2020, Nguyen Tat Thanh University and Cracow University of Technology signed a memorandum of cooperation as a premise for cooperation and professional development opportunities for students and lecturers in the future.
