Nguyen Tat Thanh University signed MOU with Mahidol University, Thailand
On the afternoon of May 18th 2017, at Campus 300A Nguyen Tat Thanh, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Manh Hung, President of Nguyen Tat Thanh University with Prof. Dr. Suwat Benjaponpitak, Vice President of Mahidol University, Thailand, began discussing and signing educational cooperation based on both universities’ strengths.

Mahidol University was one of the top research institutes in Thailand, training a variety of majors, fields: communication design, entertainment design, social science, business economics, film production, international business, biological science… Mahidol was also recognized as one of the top universities in Thailand according to Times Higher Education, Asia QS and Webometrics.
According to this signed MOU, Nguyen Tat Thanh University and Mahidol University will co-operate and support each other in training activities, scientific research, and academic exchange for students, lecturers… The signing ceremony also was a milestone marking the good cooperation between two universities, which as well reassured an important progress in development strategy of Nguyen Tat Thanh University.

“This is an important signing ceremony to advance the bilateral relationship of the two universities. The education – training alliance between the two universities is an important action to improve training quality, to construct human resources between two countries Vietnam and Thailand”, Mr. Suwat Benjaponpitak stated.

Also on May 18th 2017, at 300A Campus, Nguyen Tat Thanh University hosted exchange session between organizations in the field of Medicine and Pharmacy. The session participated Faculty of Pharmacy of Nguyen Tat Thanh University, Faculty of Pharmacy of HCMC University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Pasteur Institute, HCMC Institute of Malariology – Parasitology – Entomology, HCMC Institute of Public Health.
This was the opportunity for the hospitals together shared their achievement in technical expertise, management experience and medical diagnose and treatment, as well as created a joyful event strengthening the unity between the organisations. The program was also the opportunity for Nguyen Tat Thanh University to enhance relations in order to improve training quality in Medicine – Pharmacy majors, to understand human resource needs of the hospitals, with which NTTU can strengthen their training quality, improve education quality providing high-quality workforce for the society.

As one of the core faculties in the health care field of NTTU, Faculty of Pharmacy is always interested in investing in all aspects, from improving training quality to promoting investment in facilities. In order to facilitate students’ realistic studying and practicing environment in accordance with the training criteria, NTTU has established cooperative alliance with many enterprises, production facilities, pharmaceutical testing centres, trading and distributing medicine companies. Especially, NTTU has signed strategic cooperation with many hospitals in HCMC: Cho Ray Hospital, Binh Dan Hospital, 115 Hospital, District 8 Hospital, Gia Dinh People’s Hospital, Trieu An Hospital… in order to create the best conditions for the student to study and practice, helping them improve their skills and easily conquer their career path in the future.
