Nguyen Tat Thanh University receives more than 1,300 donated books from the book donation project of Dr. Vo Ta Han

NTTU – Recently, Overseas Vietnamese Committee of Ho Chi Minh City handed over 1,300 books to Nguyen Tat Thanh University from the book donation project of Dr Vo Ta Han.

Attending the book donation ceremony, there were Mr. Vo Thanh Chat – Vice Chairman of the Overseas Vietnamese Committee of Ho Chi Minh City, Mr. Tran Duc Hien – Vice Chairman, Dr. Vo Ta Han, Ms. Le Thi My Chau – Chairwoman of Vinafirst Joint Stock Company, Dr. Nguyen Tuan Anh – Vice President of Nguyen Tat Thanh University, Ms. Nguyen Thi Dinh – Vice Director of Nguyen Tat Thanh University’s Library and Information Center, and more than 20 universities and institutes in Ho Chi Minh City.

In this donation ceremony, Nguyen Tat Thanh University received 1,332 books worth up to 16 billion VND, increasing the total books up to 2,170, which Nguyen Tat Thanh University received from the book donation project of Dr. Vo Tat Han during three consecutive years from 2021 to 2023.

Dr. Nguyen Tuan Anh – Vice President of Nguyen Tat Thanh University sent his sincere thanks to Dr. Vo Ta Han and the Overseas Vietnamese Committee of Ho Chi Minh City for their contributions to the book library of Nguyen Tat Thanh University, attracting many lecturers, researchers, and students to explore and use effectively in their research and study, contributing to the research and training quality improvement of the university.

During the journey of 24 years, Nguyen Tat Thanh University has constantly paid special attention to the development of reading culture of lecturers and students. Currently, Nguyen Tat Thanh University is an official member of Ho Chi Minh City Science and Technology Information Network and a shared digital library for higher education institutions in Vietnam. Up to present, the University has invested in building 3 modern and well-equipped libraries with an area of ​​over 5,000 square meter, over 100,000 books, 21 national and international databases, serving more than 25,000 students.
