Nguyen Tat Thanh University has reappointed Dr. Tran Ai Cam to the position of President.

Nguyen Tat Thanh University – On the morning of November 22nd, the University Council of Nguyen Tat Thanh University announced and issued the decision to reappoint Dr. Tran Ai Cam as the President of Nguyen Tat Thanh University.

The event was attended by: Mrs. Nguyen Mai Lan – Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairwoman of the University Council; Dr. Tran Ai Cam – Standing Member of the University Council, President of the University; Dr. Nguyen Van Luong – Vice Chairman of the University Council; Mr. Nguyen Kim Quy – Standing Member of the University Council, along with the presence of the heads/deputy heads of departments, faculties, and offices throughout Nguyen Tat Thanh University.

Many administrative staff members attended the ceremony.

On behalf of the University Council, Mr. Nguyen Kim Quy – Member of the University Council, has approved the appointment of Dr. Tran Ai Cam as the President of Nguyen Tat Thanh University. During the two-year period from November 24, 2023, to November 25, 2025, Dr. Tran Ai Cam will assume the duties and powers under the guidance of the University Council.

Mr. Nguyen Kim Quy – Standing Member of the University Council, read the decision to appoint Dr. Tran Ai Cam as the President of Nguyen Tat Thanh University.

In her speech at the event, Mrs. Nguyen Mai Lan – Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairwoman of the University Council, extended her congratulations and gratitude to Dr. Tran Ai Cam for the significant achievements that Nguyen Tat Thanh University has accomplished recently. Mrs. Nguyen Mai Lan noted that Dr. Tran Ai Cam has served as the President amidst the serious impact of the pandemic, facing challenges in the educational reform. Despite these difficulties, Dr. Cam has successfully met the set objectives and achieved significant accomplishments in the management and operation of the University.

Continuing in the role of President of Nguyen Tat Thanh University, Mrs. Nguyen Mai Lan expressed her hope that Dr. Tran Ai Cam would further enhance her role as the university’s leader, contributing new strategies to the overall development of the university and the education sector during this period of renewal.

Mrs. Nguyen Mai Lan, on behalf of the University Council, acknowledged the significant contributions of Dr. Tran Ai Cam to the remarkable development journey of Nguyen Tat Thanh University.

The past term has been of significant importance, not only for Dr. Tran Ai Cam but also for the people of the city and the entire country, as they have faced and combated the Covid-19 pandemic together. Additionally, this period has been crucial for Nguyen Tat Thanh University as it transitions between the strategic periods of 2014 – 2020 and 2020 – 2025, with a vision towards 2035. Despite the challenges during this period, Dr. Tran Ai Cam’s leadership and management have achieved many proud accomplishments, including:

• • Organizing the construction, adjustment, and updating of the “Development Strategy of Nguyen Tat Thanh University for the 2020-2025 period, with a vision towards 2035,” aiming to become an entrepreneurial university focused on innovation and creativity.
  • Implementing state policies and regulations to confidently integrate the university into the higher education system, including the refinement of organizational and management documents across all areas of the university and the promotion of digital capabilities to optimize administrative and operational activities.
  • Expanding the scale of training programs, from Bachelor’s to Master’s and Doctoral levels, as well as developing internationally recognized training programs.
  • Increasing quality assurance indicators through domestic, regional, and international quality accreditation programs, leaving a mark in improving and enhancing the quality of education.
  • Maintaining and developing the university’s image and brand through evaluations by international organizations…

Dr. Tran Ai Cam has been reappointed as the President of Nguyen Tat Thanh University.

Emotional in her address at the inauguration ceremony, Dr. Tran Ai Cam expressed profound gratitude to the Board of Directors of Saigon Garment Manufacturing Trading Company, the University Council of Nguyen Tat Thanh University, as well as the entire faculty, staff, and students of the university for their trust and entrusting her with the responsibility of leading the academic community in continuing to shape the university’s journey towards development. Dr. Tran Ai Cam shared that over the past 24 years, while there have been favorable aspects contributing to the development foundation of Nguyen Tat Thanh University, there have also been numerous challenges.

In her capacity as the head of the university, Dr. Tran Ai Cam will continue to steer the ship of knowledge at Nguyen Tat Thanh University, guiding it to further development and advancement.

In her role as the head of Nguyen Tat Thanh University, Dr. Tran Ai Cam has outlined plans for the upcoming years, including:

• • Firstly, focusing on resources and leveraging internal capabilities to implement all invested and sponsored projects.
  • Secondly, resolutely implementing strategic objectives in a cohesive manner. Committing to the Smart University and Entrepreneurial University models, in compliance with state regulations on quality assurance conditions.
  • Thirdly, achieving sustainable development of comprehensive financial resources and identifying the university’s education market segments.
  • Fourthly, clearly restructuring investment policies to further enhance the university’s strengths.

“I will dedicate all my efforts and spread these ideas to all faculty and staff, aiming for the common goal of sustainable and far-reaching development of Nguyen Tat Thanh University,” emphasized Dr. Tran Ai Cam.

With Dr. Tran Ai Cam’s leadership and the unity of all faculty and staff, it is hoped that Nguyen Tat Thanh University will achieve even greater accomplishments and become a pioneering university in establishing a model of entrepreneurial and innovative education.
