Nguyen Tat Thanh University excellently won the Top 3 Vietnamese universities in the SCImago Institutions Rankings 2022
The prestigious Spanish ranking organization for scientific research institutions – SCImago has just announced the results of the ranking of research institutes in the world in 2022.
This is the first time Nguyen Tat Thanh University has been ranked in SCImago Institutions Rankings and honored to be in the Top 3 out of 24 universities of Vietnam. In Vietnam, CImago is a prestigious ranking organization, used by many organizations such as Ministry of Science and Technology of Vietnam and the National Foundation for Science and Technology (Nafosted) as one of the references for the evaluation process of science and technology organizations in Vietnam.
Since being established in 2009, once a year SCImago Institutions Rankings (SCImago) has published the ranking of worldwide research institutions based on 3 criteria:
- Research performance (50%): evaluated by the volume, impact and quality of researches from the institution.
- Innovation outputs (30%): valuated by the number of patent applications and the citations of the institution.
- Societal impact (20%): valuated by the number of websites own by the institution, the number of interaction as well as discussion on social platforms.
Being recognized and ranked in the top 3 Vietnamese universities in the internationally prestigious ranking organization as SCImago Institutions Rankings is really a great encouragement and motivation for Nguyen Tat Thanh University to continue its efforts to improve the quality of teaching and research, affirming the top position of higher education in the process of development and integration.
