Nguyen Tat Thanh University announces its admission assessment method reviewing the result of competence assessment test organized by Vietnam National University – Ho Chi Minh City
NTTU – In 2020, NTTU plans to recruit 6,250 students for the full-time undergraduate programs based on 05 assessment methods. Accordingly, NTTU will continue to use the result of competence assessment test organized by Vietnam National University – Ho Chi Minh City as one of its admission methods, with the total target rate of 7.5 %.
1. Test structure:
The competence assessment test of Vietnam National University – Ho Chi Minh City combines 120 multiple-choice questions to be completed within 150 minutes.

The result of competence assessment test is determined by the modern multiple-choice method based on Item Response Theory. The score of each question has different weighting depending on the difficulty and distinction of the question. The maximum score of the test is 1,200. In particular, the maximum score for the Part of Language Use, Math, Part of Logical Thinking and Data Analysis, and the part of Problem Solving is 400, 300, and 500 respectively.

Test of Vietnam National University is scheduled to take place in 2 phases

In 2020, Nguyen Tat Thanh University plans to receive 6,250 applications for 48 full-time undergraduate programs by 05 methods: Method 1: Review of national high school graduation exam 2020 based on a combination of assessed subjects Method 2: Review of high school transcript achieving one of the following criteria (for majors in healthcare discipline, the threshold of input in quality assurance issued by Ministry of Education and Training will be applied): The combined score of Grade 12 admission subjects: from 18 or higher. A sum of GPA of Grade 10, Grade 11 and GPA of first semester in Grade 12: from 18 or higher. GPA of Grade 12: from 6.0 or higher Method 3: Attending admission examination organized by Nguyen Tat Thanh University Method 4: Review of Result of competence assessment test of Vietnam National University Method 5: Direct admission assessment with priority admission for candidates won national excellent student competitions, national science and technology contest, Asean and international skills competition; entrance assessment for foreign candidates who are eligible to study or nominated.
