Nguyen Tat Thanh University and the University of East Anglia to cooperate in organizing a Training Workshop on research planning and publication skills of academic papers
Recently, Nguyen Tat Thanh University (NTTU) and the University of East Anglia (UK) co-hosted a training workshop on research planning and publication skills on academic journals to share experiences related to research plans and publishing skills
Based on the practical needs of Vietnamese university lecturers who have been conducting and publishing scientific papers, in three days from 2nd to 4th May, 2022, NTTU in cooperation with the University of East Anglia (UK) organized the Research Planning & Publication Skills Workshop. This event is part of a series of cooperative activities between Nguyen Tat Thanh University and the University of East Anglia.
The program was delivered by Dr. Susan Matthews (Adjunct Professor, University of East Anglia – UK) and Dr. Bui Le Minh (Biotechnology, NTT Institute of High-Tech, Nguyen Tat Thanh University). Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Thi Hong – Vice President, Director of the Interdisciplinary Institute of Social Sciences, NTTU along with a large number of delegates who are lecturers and researchers from institutes, universities and colleges across the country (Can Tho University, Tay Nguyen University, Hue University, Hanoi Medical University, Vietnam National University – Ho Chi Minh City …) participated in the workshop through the Zoom platform.
The training workshop is designed for researchers with a lack of experiences in publishing academic papers on international journals. Therefore, the workshop is also an opportunity for new researchers to learn, exchange experiences to improve research competency and publication skills. At the workshop, experts discussed topics regarding research plans and scientific research skills such as How to publish a scientific research paper; Guidance on research writing skills; Writing scientific papers in professional written English, Drafting and data screening; Structuring a scientific paper; Ethics in research, scientific publication…
In the field of education, especially higher education, scientific research and international publication play a vital role. At NTTU, the University has always focused on scientific and technology innovative activities. Hence, the University regularly organizes activities to encourage research and international publication amongst the faculty staff. Over the years, the University has obtained many achievements in terms of both quantity and quality through publications of papers on ISI/SCOPUS journals, prestigious domestic and international journals, and the publication of findings of scientific research projects at all levels. Through this workshop, the University hopes to continue to improve the research competency and publication skills on international journals of lecturers, researchers in general and lecturers of Nguyen Tat Thanh University in particular.
It is expected that the two institutions will cooperate to organize many activities and events in different fields and contents in the future
