NTTU – Being active to integrate and improve itself in the direction of internationalization is an important step for Nguyen Tat Thanh University to further develop and become a prestigious brand name worldwide.

Active international integration

In the current context of deep international integration, boosting the internationalization is the best way for a university to reach out to the world. During 20 years of development, Nguyen Tat Thanh University has always focused on international collaborations with many significant achievements. With the goal of becoming a bridge for students to access the advanced education and science and technology, the training programs of Nguyen Tat Thanh University are continuously updated and flexibly designed according to international standards. The University has also become a pioneer in standardizing and comprehensively renovating with 4 training programs accredited by AUN-QA of Information Technology, Business Administration, English Studies, Banking and Finance. In addition, Hospitality Management and Electrical – Electronics Engineering of Nguyen Tat Thanh University were also accredited according to the Circular 04/2016 /TT-BGDĐT of the Ministry of Education and Training.

Collaborative relationships and training cooperation between Nguyen Tat Thanh University and internationally renowned educational institutes are constantly established and developed to support the faculties and staff to access the advanced educational management models and modern teaching methods; it helps students to study in a professional environment, obtain more opportunities to study abroad and have part-time jobs. Besides, the linkage with foreign businesses has brought thousands of students in Nursing, Biotechnology, Tourism – Vietnamese studies to Germany, Japan, China, Israel and etc. for the internship and work to enhance their knowledge and confidently integrate into the world.

Since 2008, Nguyen Tat Thanh Institue of International Education (NIIE) has cooperated with many prestigious educational institutions for the joint training and transfer programs which bring opportunities for students to obtain the Bachelor’s degrees from Coventry University, Birmingham City University, University of Arkansas, Meiho University, and recently, in collaboration with Malaysia University of Science and Technology (Malaysia) to offer the Master in Supply Chain Management. It also include the Implementing the training program in accordance with the Japanese standards with specific collaborative model of the first 3 years to study at NTTU, the last year to do internship in Japan with attractive salary, attracting the attention of a large number of students. The efforts of international integration are important steps for Nguyen Tat Thanh University to develop and become the prestigious international brand name.

Foster future

Last November 2019, staff and students of Nguyen Tat Thanh University were happy to receive the 4-star rating certificate by QS (UK) – an important demonstration to affirm its reputation and enhance the value of degree for students. Previously, in 2017, Nguyen Tat Thanh University became an associate member of the ASEAN University Network AUN-QA. Especially, from the top 10 in 2018, by July 2019, the University has reached to the 5th in the country for international publication (ranked by the Institute for Scientific Information magazine). These achievements are as rewards for the efforts of the whole university with hard working and dedication for the development of the country’s education.

Looking back on the 20 years of development to guide the future, lecturers and students of Nguyen Tat Thanh University will still work diligently to continue their dream of reaching out to the world; obtain the goal by 2025 to be on the list of 300 universities in Asia and top 50 ASEAN; at the same time, promote the 4.0 higher education model to provide high quality human resources in the context of the Fourth Industrial Revolution.
