Nguyen Tat Thanh University achieve 5-stars for 04 categories in QS Stars re-audit period 2022

In the QS Stars re-evaluation phase implemented by QS (Quacquarelli Symonds), Nguyen Tat Thanh University successfully maintains the 4 star-rating with 4 out of 8 categories achieved 5 stars-standard, including Employment, Facilities, Academic Development, and Inclusiveness.

As one of the pioneering universities participating in the QS Stars university rating system, Nguyen Tat Thanh University (NTTU) was recognized as a 3 star-institution in which the standards of teaching, employment, facilities, social responsibility achieved 5 stars and the standard of inclusiveness received 4 stars in 2016. By 2019, during the re-evaluation period every 3 years, the University became the first non-public university in Vietnam to be rated 4 stars by the QS Star rating system. This is a remarkable achievement contributed by NTTU’s staff and lecturers, with the 4-star rating certificate playing a very important role as an affirmation of the reputation and training quality of NTTU in the perception of learners and social communities.

In this current re-evaluation period, NTTU has 4 standards awarded 5 stars, including Employability, Facilities,  Academic development, Inclusiveness; 2 stars with 4-star rating which is Teaching and Social Responsibilities; and 2 standards with 3-star rating which are Internationalization and Quality of training programs (Accounting & Finance). Although the final assessment’s result of stars-rating remained unchanged, NTTU has strived to maintain the 4-stars rating in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic which has seriously affected teaching and studying activities in 2020 and 2021.

In order to fulfill the mission of training high-quality human resources to satisfy the needs of society and global integration, NTTU aims to provide an active learning environment and practical experience for all students to help them fully develop academic competency, creativity, working capacity, professionalism and social responsibility. At NTTU, students are guided according to the philosophy of ‘Real Learning – Real Success – Real Prestige – Real Future’. Hence, 100% of students are supported to find job opportunities through the cooperation between the University and business partners. The University also ensures that each graduate achieves solid knowledge and a high level of professionalism. This explains why the rate of graduate employment after 6 months of graduation always reaches 95-97% annually, as such highly appreciated by QS Stars. To achieve 5 stars in the Employability indicator, the University was assessed based on a set of criteria including Graduate employment rate, Employment support services for students (Careers service support), and Reputation for employers.

In order to create a supportive educational environment for comprehensive development, the University regularly organizes extra-curricular activities for students to develop interpersonal skills, foreign languages, especially creating conditions for students to participate in a range of academic improvement, entertainment and entrepreneurship development events to help them improve both scientific research capacity and professional skills. The quality of human resources from Nguyen Tat Thanh University is therefore always highly appreciated by employers, contributing to affirming the prestige of a 4-stars rating university.

Going forward, we will continue to work hard – maybe double or triple times to provide world-class training quality and service to students.”

The 4-stars certification is currently the highest QS rating achievment amongst Vietnamese universities. According to the assessment of QS Stars: “A 4-star university is defined as a highly international university, demonstrated through excellence in scientific research and training; an ideal teaching and learning environment for lecturers and students”.
