More than 400 scientists participate in the international conference on Science, Technology, and Innovation for Sustainable Development – STISD 2023

NTTU – within two days of 25^th and 26^th August 203, more than 400 scientists from 17 countries participated in the international conference on Science, Technology, and Innovation for Sustainable Development 2023 co-organized by Nguyen Tat Thanh University and Vietnam Association of Science Editing.

Local Guests of honors at the STISD 2023 included Prof. Dr. Banh Tien Long – Former Standing Deputy Minister of Education and Training, Editor-in-Chief Journal of Science and Technology Technical Universities, Vietnam, President of the Vietnam Association of Science Editing; Prof. Dr. Nguyen Huu Duc – Former Vice President of Vietnam National University, Hanoi; Chief-editor for the Journal of Science Advanced Materials and Devices; Prof. Dr. Nguyen Thi My Loc – President of Education branch of the State Council for Professorship; VNU University of Education, Vietnam National University, Hanoi, Vietnam; Prof. Dr. Tran Trung – member of the State Council of Professor, Director of Vietnam Academy for Ethnic Minorities; Assoc. Representatives from Nguyen Tat Thanh University included Madam Nguyen Mai Lan – Chairwoman of the University Board; Dr. Nguyen Van Luong – Vice Chairman of the University Board; Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Thanh – Vice President; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Thi Hong – Vice President; Dr. Nguyen Lan Phuong – Vice President; Dr. Nguyen Tuan Anh – Vice President. Especially, there were more than 400 lecturers, businesses, experts, researchers, scientists from 17 countries participating both virtually and physically.

Delivering the opening address, Dr. Tran Ai Cam – President of Nguyen Tat Thanh University sent her sincere welcome to more than 400 scientists from 17 countries. Dr. Cam said that STISD 2023 was the first conference but received the attention and participation of many scientists around the world. She also hoped that this conference organized by Nguyen Tat Thanh University would be a forum for sharing and exchanging information, knowledge, and research findings on science, technology, and innovation sustainable development.

The conference has received nearly 350 abstracts from 17 countries including USA, Malaysia, Australia, Japan, China… in which, 282 abstracts were accepted in the proceedings with 4 main sessions.

The conference took place in 25^th and 26^th August 2023 with 5 plenary speakers who are experts in education, marketing, sustainable material, etc. and 4 parallel sessions with more than 100 research papers virtually and physically presented, including:

    • Innovative Advanced Production and Industrial Engineering: 19 presentations
    • Innovative Sharing Economy and Sustainable Science: 23 presentations
    • Innovative Education Science and Quality Assurance: 30 presentations

Many scientists virtually and physically presented in the STISD 2023

In the conference, the organizing committee of STISD 2023 has reviewed 80 research posters and nominated 24 posters for Best Poster Awards.

In the development strategy the period of 2020 – 2025 and a vision to 2035, NTTU orients innovation, internationalization, and quality strategy as the core foundation for sustainable development as well as for THE Impact Rankings, contributing to the implementation of the 17 sustainable development goals of the United Nations.

Nguyen Tat Thanh University hopes that this conference will be a forum for researchers, lecturers, experts, businesses, and policymakers to share theoretical research and experiments, innovative solutions and technologies in the context of international integration, as well as promote international cooperation activities, experience exchange, publishing research, contributing to improving the quality of international publications of lecturers, and being a foundation for scientific research activities for students, other industries and sectors.

Besides of training, scientific research plays an extremely important role for Vietnamese universities in general and for lecturers, researchers in technology and engineering sectors, especially in the international integration period nowadays. The International Conference on Science, Technology, and Innovation for Sustainable Development (STISD 2023) with theme on Establishment of Sustainable Technological Solutions for Industry and Global Society, was co-organized by Nguyen Tat Thanh University and the Vietnam Association of Science Editing (VASE), and sponsored by Viet Khoa Scientific Equipment Co.
