Ito Group and NTTU cooperation: towards a comprehensive partnership between Enterprise & University
Recently, the Chairman of Ito Group – Mr. Peter Opdahl and the Ito delegation visited Nguyen Tat Thanh University (NTTU) to discuss about cooperation opportunities between Ito Group and NTTU on the basis of the results of the meeting between Ito Vietnam and Faculty of Engineering and Technology in the middle of June, 2022. The program also welcomed Dr. Nguyen Anh Tuan, Chairman of Ho Chi Minh City Semiconductor Technology Association, a co-partner of Ito Vietnam and NTTU.
On behalf of NTTU, Dr. Tran Thien Luu – Vice President highly appreciated the role of Ito Group in the field of smartphone assembly, camera production, technology solution consulting, automatic production lines design and manufacturing for the world’s top smartphone brands today, and affirming the University’s sincere desire to promote cooperation with Ito Group in training activities, applied research and community service.
Meeting moment: Welcome Ito Group’s delegation to NTTU
In the meeting, Ito Group and NTTU agreed on a comprehensive cooperation policy and assigned Ito Vietnam Company (from Ito Group’s side) and Faculty of Engineering – Technology (from NTTU’s side) to continue actively developing detail plan with following orientations:
– Training activites: Cooperation in training, providing and developing human resources to meet the needs of Ito Group, high-tech and electronic corporations through the following activities: Improvement / development of programs training; Recruiting talents, organizing classes according to the orders of enterprises; Organizing training in designing software (3D Solid works) according to the stakeholder needs with the goal of ensuring that graduates will be labor resources of international standards.
– R&D activities: Cooperate in developing co-labs, co-projects serving Ito Group business, as well as high-tech corporations and serving the community. Specifically, Ito Group will support NTTU with some equipments, establish a joint research group consisting of highly qualified, dynamic, enthusiastic lecturers, excellent students and Ito experts, build and implement research plan to serve enterprises and the community; jointly expand cooperation and association with institutes, enterprises and associations to form a science and technology consortiums for major and key projects.
– Community service activities: Cooperate in implementing community service projects, including: Volunteer programs to support people in applying science and technology to life; Support programs for youth unions of high schools to conduct career guidance for students, apprentices and to arouse passion for science and technology; Searching for potential talents and attracting enrollment, training under scholarship programs serving the human development strategy of Ito Group, as well as high-tech and electronics corporations, contributing to the educational development of the society.

In addition, Mr. Peter Opdahl also emphasized Ito Group’s special interest in female engineers and expressed the company’s willingness to issue scholarships and preferential internship policies for female students of NTTU. Some activities were also mentioned to be deployed in the near future such as sending Ito Vietnam experts for presentations in career orientation seminars for students.
In this time, the Ito Group delegation also visited the laboratories and workshops, interacted with lecturers and students in some classes of the Faculty of Engineering and Technology. Our guests expressed their deep impression on the potential and resources of the University in general and the Faculty of Engineering and Technology in particular, and affirmed their confidence in the cooperation success and effectiveness in the future.

In 2022, Ito Group and NTTU will continue to discuss in detail the cooperation program and implementation plan, towards a comprehensive partnership between Enterprise and University in line with the development strategies of both sides.
