Footprints of Nguyen Tat Thanh University’s “Volunteer Green”

Summer comes signals the time when students leave their school stuff and begin the journey of the so-called “green volunteering activities” to serve the community.

In August 2018, more than 250 students of Nguyen Tat Thanh University shared efforts to clean up the environment from the city to neighboring provinces such as Can Gio, Long An… The “soldiers” green volunteer” has cleaned the corners, picking up trash, weeds, water hyacinth… under the canal to clear the water and improve the environment.

Stagnant black canals are always the hiding places of many environmental hazards. Students clear and clean the water flow to bring a healthier life to people around this area.

In addition, at the city’s areas, these “soldiers” also propagate a number of activities named “Build traffic culture”, “For children” to the communities and schools.

Although the work is a bit difficult and arduous, but after completing the mission, the “soldiers” are extremely happy to see their city cleaner and more beautiful.

During the event, you reward yourself with comfortable moments, joining friends from different backgrounds. Everyone got to know many people, and more importantly, learned useful things, not only for themselves, but also for the society.
