Develop Education 4.0 in Nguyen Tat Thanh University

In the seminar, the professor introduced the overview of industry through its four stages of evolution, and especially the fourth one is proceeding vigorously in some countries. It can be said that the internet of things (IoT) is a primary cause of industry 4.0 in which the network of humans, things and machines are established to personalize manufacturing and services. Therefore, Industry 4.0 brings out dramatic, direct effects to individuals, families, businesses and significantly to education which creates skilled human resources for Industry 4.0.

To join the movement, NTTU initiated a new generation of qualified workforces responding society’s needs via actively registering AUS-QA and it was honored to be the very first private school in the southern region carried out quality assurance of Ministry of Education and Training and received 3 international standard stars from Quacquarelli Symonds (QS). Besides, the university also attaches significance to infrastructure and facility by constructing Technology Development Centre, High-tech College and Science Park in Ho Chi Minh High-tech zone which are worth 2000 billion VND and applying Education 4.0. Those places will be promising land for specialists, experts and researches of scientific field to study, analyze, finish, launch and market technological products.

The seminar was attended by 120 key management staff, deans, and heads of department and faculty members of the university

Mr. Johnson Ong Chen Bin remarked Education 4.0, which is an innovation-producing education, is a bridge connecting schools, managers and enterprises to boost innovation, creativity, and productivity in society. Simultaneously, it raises entrepreneurship spirit among lecturers and students, facilitates cooperation between universities and industry and develops regional and local economy.

To approach Education 4.0, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Manh Hung encouraged every department to work it out and propose appropriate solutions to develop the curriculum, new skill training and standard output. Therefore, NTTU’s new student generation can actively master and access effortlessly to latest information, high technology and changes by promoting creativity and entrepreneurship. The President also emphasized: “In the trend of Industry 4.0, which requires Human Resource 4.0, Nguyen Tat Thanh University needs to step up and develop Education 4.0 to train Generation 4.0”
