Collaboration to build Japanese-style training in Vietnam according to the philosophy of liberal education

The cooperation in building a Japanese-style training model in Vietnam follows the philosophy of liberal education, which is one of the contents that was included in the memorandum of cooperation between Vietnam – Japan University and Nguyen Tat Thanh University signed on 6.2.2018.

At the signing ceremony, the two sides agreed to promote cooperative activities, exchange of academic research and education in the fields of mutual interest including: lecturers and students exchange to help them gain access to and transfer knowledge, experience and technology of Japan to Vietnam; Cooperate in activities, foster young human resource development according to the needs of the parties. Nguyen Tat Thanh University and Vietnam – Japan University will jointly develop a Japanese-style training model in Vietnam following the philosophy of liberal education, providing high-quality human resources to enterprises in Japan and Japanese enterprises in Vietnam  and Vietnamese enterprises in Japan. According to the memorandum of understanding, Nguyen Tat Thanh University and Vietnam-Japan University will only organize national and international conferences and seminars annually, but also promote, enhance image and branding.

This memorandum of understanding has great benefits for both sides

In his speech Prof. Dr. Furuta said that within a short period of time (about 10 days), the two sides came to a common point, expressing their interest and spirit of cooperation between the two universities. He is also very impressed with the growth of Nguyen Tat Thanh University in nearly 20 years. Prof. Furuta believes this cooperation memorandum will bring many benefits to the two units in areas such as faculty, expert exchange, and so on.

According to Assoc. Nguyen Manh Hung recently studied the advanced training models of universities in the world, Asia, especially the model of education in Japan. At present, Nguyen Tat Thanh University is going in the direction of educating skills, changing the way of transferring knowledge, creative content along the chain of virtue and virtue. Nguyen Tat Thanh is very keen on Japan to support the program of training, technology transfer, cooperation exchange lecturers, students, especially on education liberal.

The signing ceremony between Nguyen Tat Thanh University and Vietnam-Japan University is a new turning point in the training of talents and training for Vietnam in the model of liberal education. This cooperation is a necessary requirement in the trend of education and training reform in the context of integration.
