Closing ceremony for the quality accreditation of the Bachelor of Pharmacy program
NTTU – After 3 serious working days, the quality assessment program of Nguyen Tat Thanh University’s Bachelor of Pharmacy was officially closed on the afternoon of December 26, 2019.
Experiencing 3 serious and objective working days of the external assessment team – Center for Education Accreditation, VNU HCMC, with the efforts of all faculty members, other departments throughout the university, in order to evaluate and summarize the achievements during the working time, on the afternoon of December 26, 2019, at 300A Nguyen Tat Thanh campus, District 4, Nguyen Tat Thanh University organized the Closing ceremony for the official quality assessment of the Bachelor of Pharmacy at program level .
Attending the closing ceremony of the official assessment, on the side of the assessors’ team were: Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Hong Sinh, Dean, Library and Information Technology Department, University of Social Sciences and Humanities, VNU-HCMC, Head of delegation; Dr. Nguyen Thi Huyen, Head of Inspection – Legal Department – Intellectual Property University of Natural Sciences, VNU-HCMC, Secretary; with the members: Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ngo Dai Nghiep, Head of External Relations Department, Hanoi University of Science, Vietnam National University HCMC; Prof. Dr. Nguyen Thanh Nam, Former Head of Science and Technology Department, National University of Ho Chi Minh City; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Do Hanh Nga, Former Dean, Department of Social Work, University of Social Sciences and Humanities, VNU HCM. On the side of Nguyen Tat Thanh University, there were Dr. Tran Ai Cam, Vice President; Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Thanh, Vice President and Head of the Pharmacy Faculty; members of the self-assessment Council, heads of the divisions, departments, centers and all the teachers and students working in the Faculty of Pharmacy.

At the program, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Hong Sinh represented the Accrediting Team, presented a preliminary report on the results of the official assessment for the training program in Pharmacy, after which the members presented the evaluations in accordance with 11 standards including 50 criteria. In each standard, the external Accrediting team highlighted the strengths that the pharmacy program of Nguyen Tat Thanh University has achieved and should continue to be promoted in the future, at the same time pointed out the limitations, and recommendations for overcoming and improving the quality. Through this, the head of the Accrediting team also acknowledges the spirit of coordination and support of the University in providing sufficient information and proof to serve the accrediting process of the delegation.
The experts of the external accrediting team summed up and mentioned the strengths, potentials and areas to be overcome for the training program of Nguyen Tat Thanh University.
On behalf of the leaders of Nguyen Tat Thanh University, Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Thanh, Vice President and Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy, expressed his deep thanks to the external accrediting team, and affirmed the belief in the fairness and professionalism of the experts. The Faculty of Pharmacy will seriously take the highly detailed recommendations of the External Accrediting Team, and at the same time commit to build a specific plan to overcome the shortcomings, limitations and determination to continuously improve training quality and other activities to ensure the benefits of learners, meet the requirements of employers to further assert their value to society. This will be an important milestone, laying the foundations for the next developments of the Faculty of Pharmacy, helping the faculty to be able to explain to the society about the quality of training and brand recognition through the high proportion of graduates having jobs.
Up to now, the Pharmaceutical training program is the first one in the health sector and is the third of the 48 training programs of Nguyen Tat Thanh University accredited according to Circular 04. / 2016 / TT-BGDĐT. Hospitality Management and Electrical – Electronics Engineering are two training programs of Nguyen Tat Thanh University that have been accredited and recognized to meet the educational institution level quality standards of the Ministry of Education and Training. In addition, 4 other training programs of the University: Information Technology, Business Administration, Banking and Finance, and English Language have also been recognized as AUN-QA standards.

At the end of the closing ceremony, the head of the external assessment team and Nguyen Tat Thanh University’s leaders signed the minutes of completing the official assessment of the Bachelor of Pharmacy according to the training program quality standards in Circular 04/2016 / TT-BGDĐT of the Ministry of Education and Training. Official results will be announced by Center for Education Quality Accreditation, VNU HCMC, after the completion of all processes.
