Celebrating the traditional New Year is one of many activities which aims to support and create favourable conditions for Laos and Cambodian students to complete their study programs. From 2015 to 2019, NTTU received a total of 142 international students, including 98 Laos students, 44 Cambodian students studying bachelor and master’s degrees. In order to support international students, NTTU grants a range of international student scholarships, provides accommodation, organizes social events and student activities, such as cultural exchange programs, sports events, celebrations of Holidays – New Year, extracurricular clubs for international students to exchange and practice Vietnamese. Hopefully, these supports will facilitate students to adapt well and complete their learning goals. Meanwhile, this can be considered as a contributor to the development of high quality human resources for Vietnam’s neighbouring countries, further tightening long-lasting friendship amongst Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia.
