Affirming International Standing: Nguyen Tat Thanh University Establishes Strategic Partnership with a Leading Taiwanese University
NTTU – Recently, at Campus 331A – 331B Do Muoi Street, An Phu Dong Ward, the Faculty of Applied Sciences and Technology (under Nguyen Tat Thanh University – NTTU) hosted a welcoming and working session with a delegation from the National Kaohsiung University of Science and Technology (NKUST, Taiwan).
The NKUST delegation was led by Professor Chou Chien Chang, Dean of the College of Maritime Science and Technology.
The event is part of a series of international collaboration activities aimed at affirming NTTU’s position and deep integration strategy in the regional and global education landscape.With the goal of becoming a leading innovation-driven entrepreneurial university in Vietnam, NTTU continuously expands its network of international partners, develops high-quality training programs, and creates a globally standardized learning environment.
Dr. Vo Thi Dieu Hien presented the research orientations and training models of the Faculty of Applied Sciences and Technology – NTTU.
Continuing the program, during the working session, Dr. Vo Thi Dieu Hien – Head of the Resource and Environmental Management Department, representing the Faculty of Applied Sciences and Technology – gave an overview of NTTU’s practice-oriented training programs, key research directions, and the innovation ecosystem currently being implemented to enhance the competitiveness of graduates.
Professor Chou Chien Chang (NKUST) engaged in discussions with lecturers from the Faculty of Applied Sciences and Technology during the working session at NTTU.
In response, Professor Chou Chien Chang – Dean of the College of Maritime Science and Technology – highly praised NTTU’s training model, spirit of international integration, and sustainable development strategy.
He stated that NKUST is ready to collaborate in student internship programs, teaching, technology transfer, and joint research in key areas such as maritime science, environment, and energy.
The meeting took place in a professional and friendly atmosphere, opening up numerous potentials for sustainable and mutually beneficial development between the two universities.
Based on the discussions, representatives from both sides agreed on several concrete areas of collaboration, including student and faculty exchange programs, international internship support, joint research initiatives, co-hosting scientific conferences, and connecting businesses from both countries to enhance NTTU students’ access to the global job market.
Immediately following the working session, the NKUST delegation toured NTTU’s modern facilities, including high-tech laboratories, the innovation center, practice workshops, the library, and open academic spaces.The university’s comprehensive investment efforts to provide students with an advanced learning experience left a strong and positive impression on the international partners.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dinh Van Phuc emphasized NTTU’s pioneering role in the strategy of international integration and enhancing the quality of education during his speech.
Speaking at the event, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dinh Van Phuc – Director of the Institute of Interdisciplinary Sciences and Dean of the Faculty of Applied Sciences and Technology – stated:
“This is an opportunity for NTTU to affirm its pioneering role in the trend of international cooperation in education and research, while also bringing practical value to learners. Every international partnership established is a door opening to development journeys for both lecturers and students of the university.”
In addition, with an extensive network of international partners, NTTU continues to promote academic collaboration activities, foster continuous innovation, and strive to build a dynamic, creative, and globally integrated educational environment.
Concluding the program, the working session took place in an open and cooperative atmosphere, bringing many positive signals. Both sides expressed hope that these strategic collaborations will soon be realized in concrete actions, thereby contributing to enhancing the academic reputation of Nguyen Tat Thanh University and making it an attractive destination for both domestic and international students.
